I really dont know what to tell you to get them because we dont know much about them. The one piece of advice I will give you is treat them as individuals not twins. Dont get them the same braclet or the same necklace. Look at their own personalities and go from there. One may like jewelry while the other may not. Also cash is not always the best option if you want to control what they do with it. They dont always do what we want with it.

I can only tell you about the gifts I've seen friends do, but I thought they were great!! Each girl recieved a gold locket with a picture of her sister and herself inside. The card read. "you have traveled the path of life together for the past 18 years. Now take these lockets and wear them with pride. For the rest of your life she will be by your side."

My brother and sister are graduating soon and I plan to get them a personal Bible. I know they believe and have been raised with faith, but think a newer version of the Bible would help direct them best with future life adventures. Lots of them have special features included not just the word. Not sure if it would work for you, but wow what a gift! :)

all of the idea below are great ideas, but.... MONEY!!! Give them gift cards. You can customize them.... perhaps have thier picture, or your family pic on it, but... Every girl likes to shop, and that way they can get just what they want!!!!!

A picture memory album of them growing up. With a heartfelt letter at the end would be great and treasured.

I always liked personalized gifts that actually got use...maybe getting jewelry engraved-or just jewelry. Also, you could upload you & your husband's favorite photos of them onto shutterfly or another site like that and make a photo book and put captions on there about what they were like when they were little...stuff like that. My mom toasted me at my graduation party and there was not a dry eye in the house-it made me feel really special. If they're community minded maybe you could donate to a charity that would hold special meaning for them in their names. That's really nice of you and your husband to put a lot of thought into it!

Hi Michelle, we got our niece a name bracelet with her grad year as a charm. It had swarovski crystals and beads. It was very nice, and I have bought quite a few pieces from Melissa. She is a fellow Mamasource member. Her site is http://www.mjenningsdesigns.com/ she will design them how ever you like. You can get matching earrings too.

You can let her know that I referred you.

My girlfriend did this at her wedding, but when she was 16 (I know these girls are older) but her father gave her a small tasteful diamond necklace and told her that she should always wear it as a sign of his love for her and then on her wedding day, she took the necklace off and gave it to her dad before she said her vows. Her father, in turn, handed it to her new husband to be, and told him to put it on her as a symbol of his love for her. Everyone was crying. I think something special like that would stay with them for a long time.

I would suggest something special that they will keep forever. Either diamond earrings, or a charm bracelet that you can put about 5 or more charms on each. You add things that remind you of them. They have EVERYTHING! I started one for our daughter on her 1st bday...so far she has the intial "A" for her name, a bday cake, and a ladybug. I call her ladybug as her nickname. She is 3 yrs old so by the time she is 18, she will have 18 charms on there of my thoughts of her over the years. They have sports balls, dancing shoes, every single thing you can think of! Go to a jewelry store and there should be a book you can choose from. Literally anything you can think of will be in there. If they play piano, if they play sports, if they love flowers, if they love a certain car (I have a volkswagen bug on mine b/c it is my fav car), if they want to be a nurse, if they love purses, shoes, shopping, etc

For my wedding I gave my husband a watch engraved on the back. You could give them a really nice watch and have it engraved with a special phrase, word, reminder of them, or just the date. A watch that will last a life time.

My dad bought me a heart shaped charm necklace with diamonds all around it for college grad. I didn't like it or appreciate it until my 30's though. My mom bought me diamond earrings. For high school I got a new tv and things to set up my new dorm room at college.

A friend had a scrapbook made for her daughter. She gave the woman tons of pics from baby to 18 and the woman scrapped them. She paid A LOT for it but her daughter LOVED it!
You could do a down payment on a car. You could buy them a really nice IPOD. Pay a few months in advance on a new apt or furnish it for them.
You could send them on a weekend trip. My dad and his wife also took me on a skiing trip with them and that is where they gave me my necklace. Take them to the beach or skiing...maybe even let them bring a friend and get their own room. Or a 3 day cruise if you can afford it.

How fun! W.

A really beautiful piece of jewelry.

I remember receiving an antique ring with my birthstone in it. It is still one of my favorite pieces of jewelry today.

You could have a piece done with an inscription as well.
