I agree with the response about the pediatricians at Trinity Medical Center (The old Easter Seals building.)
We go to Dr. Coc, but have seen Dr. Grubb as well. We just love them! My daughter loves going to the doctor. They are so caring and handle every person with care and individualized attention to every detail. They listen to you (really listen to you) and are so caring. Their offices are so cute, too.

Hi K.. If you are wanting a GP, not a pediatrician, my mother in law works for Family Medicine Associates. They are right there where you live at Hebron and Josey behind the hospital. Their number is ###-###-####. It's a large group and my MIL seems to like them. Hope this helps.

We go to a wonderful Dr. right near you. We had all 4 kids at Trinity Medical and our Pediatrician is in the buildiing just north of the hospital on Josey. (It used to be the Easter Seals builing but now I believe the sign says Pediatric...something). Anyway, there are 4 Doctors there - Dr. Coco is great but I don't believe he's taking new patients. We see Dr. Grubb and LOVE him! My 3 year old is just gitty with excitement when we have to go to the dr! The 2 female doctors I don't know much about. The # is ###-###-#### (very easy to remember!) Good Luck! and Congrats on the new baby!

I don't know of any GP's for both adults and infants, but for a pediatrician, Dr. Deborah Wardell, or Dr. Coco, both in the same building, are great. They are located right by Josey and Hebron in the Easter Seals building. You can't miss it. Congrats on your new arrival and best of luck with the next 2 months.

Dr. Jeffrey Berkowitz at Parker and Midway across from Plano Presby is absolutely wonderful. We've used him since my son was a new born. My son is now almost 7. Dr. B is excellent with children and is sensible when coming to treating illnesses. He won't medicate just to be medicating.

dr Blair at medical city Dallas...forest lane pediatrics. ###-###-####. He is absolutely amazing...my kids adore him and have asked if they can go see dr Blair. He tought my kids to blow kisses the first time they met him. If one goes to see him, the other one wants him to exam them too... They even want him to hold them . I believe he has 3 or 4 kids of his own. He is so wonderful...our whole family loves him. He stays booked but their entire practice will take care of your children.

I think this isn't exactly close to you, but our Doctor is AMAZING.... He treats my entire family, kids, grandmas and all. My kids are older now, 18,15,12 but I see babies and very young children in his office as well. He's a board certified internist and board certified emergency medicine. Their clinic is open really long hours 9am to 10am M thru F and 10am to 10pm on SAT. There are also two PA's because the DR obviously cannot be there for all those hours. But you can request an apppt with Dr. Ekweani -- he's on Parkwood at Warren in Frisco. ###-###-####. The PA's are awesome as well and are perfectly fine for ear infections and minor stuff. I always make an appt w/Dr E for physicals and anything MAJOR.

Good Luck.

I work @ the hospital in that area and have chosen
Dr. Chiniwala. My two children go to her and so do my husband and I. She listens to our issues and I have never left feeling as though nothing has been resolved. We chose not to vaccinize our son and i thought she might not be open to that idea. She listened to our reasons why and honored our decision. I can tell you that her response is not what you see in the Pediatric community.

I think you should reconsider the GP for a Pediatrician instead. There are many medial differences between adults and babies - thus the rise in need for children's hospitals, etc. If you do reconsider, Dr. Sickler at Willowbend Pediatrics on Windhaven and Communications is absolutely stellar in her field.

I don't have a rec for a GP, but I do for a Peditrician. Drs. Monica Beamer and Richard Rivera at Kids Doc at 4443 N. Josey, #105 -- right down the street from you -- are wonderful. The have been caring for my kids since birth, and my sisters' kids for over 10 years. ###-###-####.

I really like my son's pediatrician. Her name is Dr. Rupal Chiniwalla, and she works in the Trinity Medical complex. I believe she treats all ages, but we just use her for our son. I gave birth at Trinity, and she was able to come and do all the newborn check-ups and screenings there. She takes her time, and really listens to you. She's also understanding about nervous first-time mothers. My son has had several minor medical issues, and she's been very good about explaining them. She also has an after-hours answering service, so if you have a worry in the middle of the night, you can page her and she will call you back (for a small fee -- $25 -- but that's very comforting the first time your son spikes a high fever). She has a partner, Dr. Lamb, who is also very good, and that's useful because he can help if she is on vacation or sick.
