Of course you have discussed this with your Dr?
There could be other issues going on besides just a formual that does not agree with your baby.
I was not on the WIC program but I do know that they limit the formulas that you can offer your baby which really stinks! IDK where you live, but I am in NY and I know they do not offer Good Start at all....unless it has recently changed bc Gerber now makes it?
I started my baby girl on Similac and within 3 weeks she was in full blown colic. My pediatrician said to offer her Isomil. Which I did and I did see a slight positive response with it but for just a week.
I did a lot of research and did find that Good Start was by far the one that most parents were recommending for colicy babies. I gave it to my daughter and I saw a tremendous difference. I never changed again.
I am not sure why you think Soy is not good for your baby?
I spoke with the nutritionist from Good Start on the phone and she told me that the molicule of protein from milk is far larger than the molicule of protein from soy so that the soy was the better tolerated of the two.
I still swear by Good Start and will forever. My daughter is 3 now and is in the 99th percentile for her age. For a baby who was losing weight at first and frequent visits to the Dr was the norm, I give all the credit to Good Start for the beautiful daughter I have today.
Please speak with your Dr about the spitting up. There are lots of reasons for spitting up besides colic. All babies strain to some degree when moving their bowels. Is it very strained? Your Dr can give you ideas to help with constipation. You can also speak to the experts from Good Start. The number is on the container and you speak to a live person when you make the call. They are a wonderful source of support for many nutrition questions. Good Luck to you and your baby girl.

My daughter uses Gentlease now that I'm no longer breastfeeding. she has had no issues making the transition. I was afraid it would make her constipated or upset her tummy...but there have been no problems. My first daughter was on regular formula and used to spit up and get constipated and gassy all the time. My baby girl hardly is gassy, never spits up, and her bm are normal. Good luck!
