Does anyone know of a good brand of golf clubs? I am thinking of spending $300. I've looked at TopFlite and Wilson. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I bought my husband a set for around that much with the bag at Dick's Sporting goods it was like golden bear or somthing like that. But they have entire sets there for not to much.

I worked at a golf course for 5 summers and some of the brands that I remember are Calloway, TaylorMade, PING, Titlelist. I don't know if you could get a set of those for $300, so I would recommend a golf shop or sporting goods store with employees knowledgeable in golf and have them help you choose the best set for your budget. It would also be helpful to know your husbands height because that makes a difference in the right clubs. Good luck shopping, I'm sure he'll love them!

Hi H.-

I would recommend going to golfsmith. They can actually create a set for you! It isn't name brand but they are based off of a name brand. My dad actually made my clubs for me and I played in HS and College with the set- and still do 15 years later :).

Good luck!

I was also going to suggest your husband going with you. I bought my husband clubs 8 years ago and they were the wrong size so a complete waste of money!

Just a couple months ago, my husband bought a new set. He purchased used from a local golf store and got great deals on barely used clubs. One still had the original manufacturers packaging on the head!
