I cannot put in enough good words for Bocks Steam Star ###-###-####). They are locally owned and operated and they are even called on to do training around the country. They will do an estimate for you - and I promise they DO NOT do the "bait and switch" where they act like it will be a really low price they they stick you. I have used them for over 10 years and would not use anyone else. All my neighbors use them now, too.

I dont know about any companies that clean carpets but I have a shampooer that works wonders on my white carpets! You may just go out and buy a shampooer (looks like a vacuum), that way whenever your carpets get dirty you can just pull out your shampooer and do it yourself! I love mine. It sure beats having to call Stanley Steemer or any other carpet cleaning companies! Hope this helps!

Steamatic is an excellent company. They have franchises all over the country. My mother has always used them in the different areas we have lived. They don't use soaps that leave a residue on the carpet, the carpets are actually steam cleaned.

I'm on the board at my sorority and we had been using a different company for years. There were several stains on the carpet that were 'permanent'. This year, since we have new board members, we decided to go with the local Steamatic company. They did a fabulous job. They got out the old stains that 2 other companies couldn't remove. We were actually thinking that we would need to replace some of the carpets, but after Steamatic cleaned them, they look great! If Steamatic is in your area, you should definitely give them a call.

If you're in the Columbia area, Neville and Sons does a GREAT job.

A few years ago I found a non toxic carpet cleaner called Folex. It is fantastic! I have white carpet and it gets everything off-- chocolate milk, spaghetti sauce, cheese from cheetos, red and purple juices, etc... It's right next to the Resolve at Walmart and Target- it's in a white and purple bottle. I use it whenever I need to just clean a spot and if it's your whole carpet you're needing done, I rent a rug doctor and use the folex for the cleaning solution! It is wonderful! The thing I like best is that it is non-toxic and there is no smell!!

sorry, posted response, then realized your location. my guy doesn't go that far!

If your looking for the cheap and somewhat easy way out. Get a couple of CANS of Resolve and you can follow the directions on the can, I did it myself and my carpet came out looking like new.

a couple of months ago I rented a rug doctor, and it worked great. A family member of mine owns a carpet cleaning co., and I just didn't want to pay that much(even at a family discount) to have it cleaned. So, I went and rented one. I was REALLY reluctant because you here how bad they are from the pros, but I was very pleased. My carpet was filthy, thanks to our 2 year old, but I used boiling, NOT hot tap water like they reccommend, and it came out spotless! I was very pleased.
I forgot to mention that I had white carpet throughout the house, and am happy to say, I have white carpet again!!
