Good Books/Authors
Hi Ladies,
I am a teacher and I like to catch up on my reading over the summer months, as much as I can with a 15 month old by my side. Anyway I have just finished a the last book of my favorite author and I am looking for some other suggustions of authors that may be simliar to Nicholas Sparks, who wrote The Notebook and Message in the Bottle, which are just a few of the more well known books. Or even just any good books anyone has read recently, you know in all your spare time I am sure you all have :) Thanks for any recommendations.

I would like to suggest my book: "Has Anyone Seen My Daisy?". It's the story of my life and you will see why as you read it. It's a mother's story. It is available on publishamerica.com (I think they have the best price) though it is listed with Target, Walmart, Barnes and Noble. My name is Peggy O'Conor. I hope you will enjoy it.

I just finished The Friday Night Knitting Club. It was really good. Not sure who the author is but I think it's Kate....something :-)

I've heard that Eat, Pray, Love is an excellent read.

Like another poster mentioned, the book "Water for Elephants" is an AWESOME book!!
A few others that I recently read that were great:
"Lottery" by Patricia Wood. Very heartwarming.
"No Time for Goodbye" by Linwood Barclay. One of the best books I have ever read.
I am an avid reader and I love anything written by:
Jodi Picoult
Joy Fielding
Nicci French
Elin Hilderbrand
Cathy Lamb
Jane Green
Emily Griffin
Jennifer Weiner
Michelle Richmond
Joshilyn Jackson
Hope this helps!

Anything by Jane Green or Jennifer Weiner. I also like the Stephanie Plum mysteries by Janet Evanovich (One for the Money is the first one).

I'm reading James Patterson's Sundays at Tiffany's and am enjoying it. James Patterson is nice to read with a little one because his chapters are a couple of pages long so it is easy to pick up and put down when necessary.
