Hi mamas!

My birthday is Sunday and Im looking for some recos on where to go for an early dinner in the Downtown Downers Grove or Downtown Naperville (or any downtown surrounding city). I would a place that is a little bit upscale as I would like to eat something I cant make at home, and some nice wine (since we have a sitter!) I also plan to have about 10 ppl there. I prefer a local downtowny area so that a few more of my friends that dont want to or are unable to make the dinner can meet us at a little bar withing walking distance from wherever we eat.

Any suggestions or places to stay away from??

Thanks!

So What Happened?

Hugo's Wins!! We used to live in the city and that was one of my favorite places. I looked at their menu again and just started remembering how much fun we used to have, and also the consistently good food!!! Meson Sabika came in a close second and will be in the near future, maybe on a date nite! Thanks everyone!!

Hugo's, Hugo's, Hugo's!!!! We love that place and go there about once a month. Hugo's has great food and great wine! We also love Francesca's, but, it can be a bit loud. Have fun with wherever you go.

In Naperville I have 2 favorites
Catch 35 for wonderful fish ( they have some chicken, pasta and steaks but they really specialize in fish) On 35 N Washington
Sullivans on Main St on the river walk has wonderfule wines, service, and food. Love them both:-)

Francesca's and Meson Sabika are both good choices. Also Gordon Birsch Brewery at the Promenade in Boilingbrook is good. Haven't tried the beers, but the food is good. Capri Restaurant is good for Italian food. There are several in the area.

Mongolian BBQ. LOVE the place. If you don't do it for your b-day, do it sometime! It's a fun place and good food.
