Glass Bottle Use?
I'm wondering if anyone has used glass bottles with success? We used Dr. Brown's with our first daughter when I began to pump and supplement with formula. She was kind of gassy so they worked well for us. I've heard that the brown's are compatable with Evenflo glass bottles but wondering if anyone has a brand of glass they've liked.
Thanks ahead of time!

Hi Jamie!
We just switched to the Dr. Brown's glass bottles and aside from the fact that they are a little heavier, there's no difference from the plastic version of the same brand. We're very happy we switched. Good luck!

I use the evenflo glass bottles and don't have any problems with gas. I switch between formula and breast feeding. They aren't that heavy and I just wash them in the dishwasher. I do use a different kind of formula, Baby's Only organic, maybe that helps with the gassiness. You can find it at Wegmans's. Good Luck!

I use Born Free and they seem to be pretty good. they aren't cheap though, but it's worth it!

I only used glass bottles with both of my children. I had smaller 4oz bottles and larger 8oz bottles. They wash in the dishwasher. They were easy. I took them everywhere. I loved them. I think they were Evenflo bottles.
My now 15.5 year old and 13 yr. old did great with them.

We have been using the Evenflo glass bottles with my 3 month old for the last month. No problems at all. No gas problems and a nice plus is they don't leak!!! (we were having problems with 2 other brands leaking but decided to go to glass bottles after reading so much about the BPA issue)

Hi J.,
Glass Bottles are fine. Had you thought about breast feeding. It is cheaper and more nutritious.
The La Leche League is a wonderful resource.

Just thought I would suggest it.

I have a four-month-old daughter and I breastfeed. I teach a few courses at a local college so I pump when she cannot be with me. I exclusively use the Evenflow glass bottles and love them. I just ordered the 8 oz. size. Before I was aware of the dangers of plastic, I experimented with four different types of bottles and my infant would take none of them. Ironically, she takes these old-fashioned, simple glass bottles really well. Also, glass is best to freeze/store breastmilk in because the nutrients do not stick to the glass. I'm really pleased with them. They are affordable, safe, and very durable.
