You can give her water now. You just don't want her to fill up on it, You don't need to worry to much about that though.

hi tammy! you can actually give your baby water now as long as you either boil it first or use spring water or that special water for babies you can get at cvs or babies r us. but i'd still boil it though! however, don't just give water! you still have to give your baby milk.

Hello! Although peds say no water until 4-6 months, I think they mean in a bottle. I know I gave my son water on hot days, but just enough to refresh his mouth. This also helped him to LOVE water now and learn to drink from a cup. Don't worry, just do what you feel is right!

Hey Tammy, right away, I gave my babies water from day one.Every living thing needs water. J.

Most peds recommend no water before 4 months. Normally water begins when cereal/ foods are started.

My pediatrician at 4 months said I could give my boys water. I do remember though at 2 months he said if they ever got really constipated I could give them some apple juice mixed with water (1 part AJ to 4 parts water) with a max of 1 ounce total. I think they are just concerned that they will take the water and then not take milk/formula when they still need the nutrition. Im not sure 1 ounce will do you much good...I would say just try to hold out a couple more weeks.

if i remember correctly my daughters pedi. didnt say it was ok till about 6 months.

My ped said they don't need water at all until much later. Breast milk or formula is all they need.
