Girls' Nite Out!!

I have 6 sisters. We all live in the same city, Ft. Worth and we try to get together for Girls' Nite Out every 3 months or so. Anywway, the dinner and movie thing is getting boring. :) Need some new ideas since we're going out again this weekend. Kind of short notice, I know, but if anyone has a new idea, I'd really appreciate it.

What can I do next?

What about ten of us did is do a dinner and a game -- board game, card game (no Bunko). You could use the kid's games even, like Chutes and Ladders, Twister. We played spoons (it's like musical chairs, but with cards and spoons.) We did We rotated houses and kicked the husbands and kids out of that house for the night. You could do it potluck, and/or as a theme night. I'm getting ready to start a monthly wine tasting, with cheese, crackers, fruit, chocolate....

Hi T.! Maybe not now but for an especially fun, planned outing set up a spa pampering session! You're energized, revitalized and feel especially pampered afterwards! Mani, pedi, massage and lunch or dinner always works for me! Enjoy!

Hi T.... I hope I'm doing this right because this is my first time responding on this site. what a nice thing for you and your sisters to get together that way. It keeps the bonds strong between you girls and plus you must get together to feed off of each others strengths and power. There is a new area in Arlington called The Highlands, located at I-20 and Matlock Road. It's just like a mall as there are many, many stores. But it's not all inside like a mall. Each store has it's own entrance. Very nice place. There is a restaurant called Mimi's. They have excellent food and there is a bar. Again, it's a nice quaint place for you ladies to hang out. It's nice and clean cut and I really think you ladies would like it. And then there is Hyenna's Comedy Club on Arkansas and 360. Just go online and look up the comedy club to see who's gonna be there. That should make a super night for you ladies. Take care and have fun. :)

I have been getting together with 7 lady friends most of us have known each other for 10+ years, a few 25+ years, we are now about 50 yrs young. We like to go to our local communty theatres, here in mid cities, Onstage at Bedford and Artisan off Pipeline Rd. This weekend we will go to Onstage and see the play Le Cage Aux Follies (the birdcage-newest movie version was with Robin Williams and Nathan Lane) The Artisan is doing "Driving Miss Daisy til March1 . Both of these theatres put on good productions for very reasonable price ($ 17.00 Onstage and Artisan a little less)
We also have done museum trips, spent a Sat morning in downtown Grapevine and shopped their shops then lunch in tearoom there, we spent the weekend in Granbury TX about anhour drive from Ft. Worth, we did the Body works exhibit in Dallas last year, we like to eat so usually do lunch or dinner with any activity. Good luck hope this gives you some ideas. D.

bowling, puttputt, mainevent it pretty cool and they kick out anyone under 18 at 10 or 11

What about taking the train to downtown Dallas for sightseeing or shopping. I have taken my kids on the train and they loved it. Me and some friends took the train and went to the cupcake bar off Mockingbird. It was something different. I sent out evites to all of them and we all had a great time. Check out different events they have going on. Go to guidelive.com to see what's going on.

Have fun! It's great that you do this. I have tried to get my friends to do this on a monthly basis but it has yet to happen. Once for mother's day I had all my friends bring covered dishes to my house and two of my friends had teenagers who did a craft with the kiddos to give to the moms when they left. I ask everyone to bring a candle so that everyone went home with a gift. I took some pretty decorated card stock and printed a really nice Mother's Day poem on it and gave it to each of my guest. I still see it posted on my friends refrigerators till this day.
