GIRL Names!!!! Help, I'm Drawing a Blank

Wow! I just saw a post where someone asked advice for baby boy names and ya'll gave the BEST suggestions!!! Can you do the same for me but for a girl? She's due in Jan. I have a 16 mo old son named William Marco. We call him Marco. My Dad's suggestion is Petra Paulina but NO THANKS! It sounds nice but too harsh I think. I have so many boy name ideas but now that I'm having a girl I am drawing a complete blank! My husband likes Allegra but that sounds like allergy medicine to me. Maybe one of ya'll will suggest something that I TOTALLY love and seems to just "fit"...then I can finally end my search for the perfect name. Thanks a bunch!! :)

ps- the names on my side of the fam are mostly latin. my husband was adopted. our last name is Irish. My Mom's name was Alicia(ah lee see ya) and mine is Alejandra(A.). My husband's name is William. I like classy, timeless names. The kind that never go out of style.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

We decided on Eve Amelia. We'll call her Evie. Thank you all so much for your help! I'm so happy that I can relax now. There were so many lovely names to choose from and even though some were prettier than the one we chose, they just didn't feel "right". The name we choose is right. It fits her. I just know it. :)

Throwing my ring in the hat. Eliza? Marilyn? Evelyn? Rose? Bianca? Phoebe? Claire and Lena have already been mentioned and Madeleine...I love those. Rachel Lena is my daughter and Madeleine Claire was the name chosen for my son...had he been a girl...we named him Kai.

Good luck!

My daughter is Julianna Paige. We have had so many people over her nine years of life tell us what a beautiful, classic name they thought it was :-)

I really like Elena sounds like (Elana) also Erika, Emily and Alysia sounds like (Elessia) I'm girls names are Elena and Erika and my sons name if he was a girl he was going to be Alysia.. I really love my girls names not to many people have them well there are a lot of Erika's out there but with a c not a k. You can also change the way you spell the name to make it different than everyone else if you like a common name.. Also J. is a great name I hardly ever hear of any one with my name ; ) Good luck picking a name and Congratulations on the new baby!

My daughter was due on Jan 2, 1995. We had Erin Noelle picked out for Christmas Eve or Christmas day. Noelle was for the holiday.

We wanted a name that sounded nice as a baby, toddler, kid, teen and adult...........we came up with Erin. We loved it and we are seeing it more and more on young professional women (CNBC among others). We are still happy with Erin. My Erin is the only Erin I know in her class.

We went with Melissa (just happened on that one) for middle name if she was not born on one of the holiday days.

I didn't want something so common (Susan as I am and had 3+ per class) or so "out there". Some of the "out there" names are really nice but imagine an 80 yr old with that name???

Enjoy your baby girl!! If your hubby is like mine....he'll make sure you deliver before Jan 08 for tax purposes, LOL We even married on New Years Eve for "taxes" HA. It has been 20 yrs so I guess it is ok!!

We named our daughter Liliana. I had a student with that name and I always liked the way it sounds. We call her Lily most of the time. It was a tough decision for us, too.

I have an Emma Grace, named after my grandmother 8 years ago, before it was all the rage. Then baby Emma was born on "Friends" and the name was everywhere. My youngest is Erynn Jolie. Erynn was a spin on the name Brynn I saw on a baby board. Jolie is after one of our closest family friends who passed away.
Erynn also could have easily been Cecelia. That was my great grandmother's name. Would have been cute as Cece or Celia for short. I also like Claire, Darcy, Sophia, and Chelsea.
