Gifts for Preschool Teachers - Romulus,MI

Hello Moms, I am usually very creative and can come up with unique gifts that will be a keepsake for the receiver, but I am blank on this one. My son is graduating preschool on the 20th and I'd like to get his teachers a gift as my son has beenw with them for 2 years and he truly loves them. I don't want to give them something they have received prob over and over again. I'd like to do something different and thoughtful that when they look at it later will bring back memories of my little guy and hsi time with them. Any suggestions would be more than welcomed. thanks

What can I do next?

I would think a small plant would be nice...

I bet a gift card to a local restaurant would be enjoyed by athe teacher...

Generally preschool teachers are not well paid so the gift card would be nice.

OK I am going to be really honest here. I was a preschool teacher before I had my kids and we always thought that the "thoughtful" gifts we just that and even cute but the reality is that we never really did anything with them they usually sat on a shelf for awhile and then I would put it in a box and eventually the box of gifts would either go to Good Will or the garbage.
The things that I really appreciated were the toughtful notes and a photograph that I could keep with the photo album from that year. Or maybe you could collect pictures of all the kids from the year and put them in an album.
I know that it seems impersonal but gift cards are always nice.

What I did one year for my kids preschool teacher and aides was I found some cute small brightly colored watering cans at Walmart and filled them with a single gerber daisy plant and tied a cute ribbon on the handle and they loved them and they were pretty inexpensive.

Hi D.,

Our pre-school teachers suggested donating a book to their pre-school classroom. They can put a sticker in the front with your child's name and the date it was donated. I'm doing that for my daughter's pre-school class and my son's 2nd grade class this year. Hope this helps!
