for your daughter.... and your husband I highly recomend "oh the place you'll go" by dr seuss. i think it is the perfect grad gift at any age. also for your hubby i would get him a frame for his diploma, get it from the tcu book store so it will have all the bells and whistles of the school. congrats to both of them.

What about making a memory frame for your husband with pictures of him in cap and gown and framing his diploma to match?

As far as gifts go: Daughter, get her something that she likes that she doesn't have in her toys or a game that she can learn from ABCs or numbers or reading.

Husband: What is speciality? Does he have a job or is he searhing? How about a nice pen set $30 to $60 and have it engraved.

Do you have a nice camera or a friend that does? If so, why don't you have someone take a picture of Father Daughter in the cap and gowns. Down load to any of the online galleries and create something special for the both of them. You should be able to keep it modderatly low in cost.

Since you have two graduates at the same time, I think it would be a great time to have their pictures taken. You could make it a three way gift; 1) for your husband, 2) for his mother for mothers day, and 3) for you for mothers day. Heck you could even frame a small copy for her room too.

My oldest son graduated kindergarten last year and I bought him a stuffed gorilla with a graduation cap. Honestly it was an afterthought on my part. I was in Walgreens and thought it was cute. He thinks it's the coolest thing. I also got him a gift card to the book store. He loves to shop and pay for himself.

My son is graduating kindergarten too! I bought a small toy to give him. Something he's wanted for a while. You could maybe get her something to use over the summer like a pool toy or a sprinkler or other outside toy? Maybe a fun outing like to the zoo or Chuck E. Cheese? Make a special dinner at home and "toast" the 2 graduates?

I just thought of this. Maybe for your husband, a new briefcase or a suit or shirt and tie to use at work?

My daughter is graduating too and I think we'll just be going for dinner to celebrate. bake a cake and put a small cap/gown on it? a nice shirt for your husband, a swimming suit for your daughter? if she has leapfrog leapad --new cartridge w/ book? and if you don't have it yet, the leap videos are excellent to re-inforce letter sounds, blends, etc. during the summer. i think you should get your hubby's diploma framed so he can hang it in his office with pride. this is something that he'd probably never do for himself. no ideas on the kindergartener... mine's just 2!
