What are 8 and 11 year old girls into these days? We will be seeing my nieces after 2 years and wanted to get them something that they will use and like.

My 8 year old daughter and 11 year old niece like High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Camp Rock, Jonas Brothers, stationary, jewelry, etc.
First of all, let me say that whatever you give them, the'll be thrilled to get the gift - and to see you. My kids always LOVE getting treats from family members, even if it's something small like from the "dollar store."
I'll also say that my 8 and 10 year olds have been "over" Webkinz for a while. It probably depends on when they got into them as to whether they still enjoy them or not.
Finally, my 2 girls are as different as day and night. One loves clothes, fashion, girly stuff; The other wants bug farms, sports stuff, and HATES getting anything girly.
Bottom line, ask your brother/sister/inlaws what your nieces are into - they'll know best what they enjoy and what they already have (both my kids enjoy board games, but we have TONS of them).

One of the neatest things my brother did for my grandaughters (8 & 12) was a magazine subscription to the teen magazines-you know the ones that have the Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana in them. He brought each of them one when he came to visit and told them they would start receiving them in the mail. So every other month they get one and it is a sweet reminder of him

Hallmark stores carry them. Ace hardware also carries them. They should be easy to find.
