Gift for Aunt Just Diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer

I was wondering what would be a good gift for someone who was just diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. I want it to be really special because she is more like a best friend than an Aunt. Maybe something she can carry along with her at all times or maybe something she can keep in her room. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

I don't know if you can sew or not but a friend had cancer, she was always cold so someone made her a small pillow filled with rice. She would stick in the microwave for a minute. The rice would retained the heat and she would sit with it under her regular blanket to help her stay warm. She mnetioned it was the best gift.

I'm not sure..I would try the American Cancer web sight, they also have an area to ask questions.

How about a prayer pillow, get all of her nieces and nephews to sign it, put their hand prints on it, whatever you like, and sew little pockets all over it where they can write prayers and stick them in the pockets for her to read.

edit: my other idea would be a holding cross, its small, fits in the palm of your hand so its easy to take from place to place. plus its wood, not metal so she could keep it even for xrays, etc.

Hello Christina,

Howabout a beautiful white tea-scented facial kit?! Complete with: purifying cleanser, refreshing toner, nourishing serum, balancing cream & deep-cleasing exfolliator. Oh, I almost forgot, and it's all aloe vera-based.

The Sonya Skin Care Kit-#282. It'll be in the upper left with the items. My Sponsor has told me she loves it! First, it's aromatherapy-white tea-scented, also it leaves her face feeling supple, clean, silky and smooth. In addition, make-up glides on flawless afterwards!
