Gift for a New Dad

I've got a couple ideas for you.

1) A photo slideshow to music. It's actually my business. You take some photos and I animate them on the screen while a song plays in the background.

2) A photo collage. I've also done these and they turn out fantastic. I have various layouts I have used - one of my husbands favorites is where I took 5 photos and faded them in the background with a saying of the Top 10 Reasons I'm glad you're my dad" or Top 10 things I love about you. I also did one for Christmas with 5 photos and did the "A-Z's of Fatherhood". For the grandparents I've done them with poems about being a grandparent.

Both these ideas have been huge hits. If you're interested and would like more information please let me know.

Is your husband a baseball fan at all?
I used to carry a line of 'decorative' baseballs -
they are made with different colors of leather etc.
what I did for my husband one father's day was I got paint that was safe for my boys and made their hand print on the baseball and also used a gold metallic pen to mark the date on the baseball.
Some of the balls say 'my hero' on it and their are others as well. Their is also a wonderful saying on the box.

Okay, not as fancy as Tiffany, but my husband really liked the coffee mug with our son's picture on it that I ordered from Shutterfly for him. He uses it at work to show off his son! They have lots of other personalized gifts that are nice.

Not sure whether your husband has a desk job - but my hubby's most treasured gift is a precious picture of him and his son he could keep at his desk.

We had one taken a few days after our son was born- It was digital- so I could change it from color to B&W and buy a great mat and frame. Everyone comments that it's such a sweet picture.

You could always go get professional pictures taken too, (I plan to get those right before xmas) but part of the joy was capturing the moment.

Congratulations - beautiful name! I like the framed photo idea for your husband's desk. My husband gets tons of comments at work about his beautiful photos of our son. I'm thinking that your hubby bought you the necklace because he is in complete awe of what you went through to bring Anders into the world, so just something small is all you need to do. Another idea - hand and footprints of your son?? They have sets at Michaels and other craft stores.

Well, depending on his personality/job, you could get him:
-a digital frame for his desk so he would always have updated photos of your son
-a daddy vest or daddy diaper bag...the kind that look guy-ish but are good for carrying around baby stuff. Uber Baby sells them.
-A night out with the guys (not baby specific, but definitely something my husband would love!)
-Any one of the dozens of things available online at places like Snapfish where they put your baby's photo on something
