I would get him whatever you would get any other 3 year old. I have CP and I'm a mom of a 16 mo. old daughter. I never received "special" toys growing up. I just wanted what every other kid my age would want. Can you find out from mom or dad what his interests are right now? Hope this helps! Sometimes it can be easy to look at the disability and forget that there is a child first.

We always ask the parents what the child is into and would like. But an activity toy/learning table with buttons and sounds and lights would probably be good. My friends daughter has CP and I got her an activity table for her 3rd b-day. I guess she loved it. Here's some links to what I'm talking about:

I agree with asking parents for suggestions or to find out what the boy really likes. Another idea is a kid's DVD or maybe a gift certfifcate for ice cream like Coldstone or somewhere cool like that.

What about clothes with fun characters on them like CARS or Diego? Or a really comfy blanket. Books are always good I think. I think it's ok to call the parent and ask for suggestions.
