Some things that linger from goodie bags around here include: rubber balls, plastic character plates/silverware, funny shaped plastic straws, cars, bubbles, travel/palm size doodle pro... have fun.
I like the idea of spring/outdoor things.

Another good resource is CELEBRATEEXPRESS.COM. I'm working on goody bags for my daughter's party (we'll have boys too) and they had a lot of fun things for cheap. Look in their party favors section.

Don't forget those temporary tattoo things. Kids love those!!!

Hi S.,
I have some unique felt goodie bags that you might like for your son's birthday. If you would like I can email them to you. I have a mommy owned business called Good Times Invitations. I sell and make invitations for all occasions. Along with other party items. If I can be of any help please send me an email to ____@____.com
Thank You

I say give out those tubs of sidewalk chalk that you can get at the dollar store instead of bags.

My daughter just had a puppy party and I made "doggie" bags. They were brown paper lunch bags with a paw print painted on them. Inide were Graham cracker shaped bones, a beanie baby(retired cheaper ones from Jewel), candy necklace for collar and fudge(specially shaped) in a plastic baggie for "poop".
I didn't pay for trinkets that break or get thrown away and not alot of just pure sugar candy.

Think spring! I'd do bubbles or outdoor things, sand toys, cars, etc. Dollar Tree has plastic bats & wiffle ball sets, each a $1 per set. And kites. I recently passed out kites to my daughter's kindergarten class as a part of the mystery reader program. For a buck each, they were thrilled!

Depends on how much you want to spend, but I think when you said "anxiously waiting for Spring" you hit it on the nose. Last year we did sand buckets with shovels that we got at Wal-mart for $1.00 each and filled it with bubbles (from the $1 store) and spring/summer trinkets. Candy is cheaper. The buckets were colorful and cute and there is no shipping fee, which I hate to pay if it's not necessary.
