Getting Together

T. I am a family childcare provider working on getting my business moved to a commercial center so that I can provide good quality family style care for more than just my few families and to get my home back giving me some outside time. I can't get with the play date thing because of my work schedule, but if you ever need someone to care for your youngest while you spend time with the oldest just write me. Also when I get our center opened in a couple of months if you want a job we will be looking for good people that love children and want to get out some. I am at the Phoenix/Tempe border 40th/48th & Southern.

I have 2 boys about the same age as your kids. Anthony(3) and Daniel(11months). I live at Horne and McKellips so I am right down the road. I have a Zoo membership also and think it would be fun to get together sometime.

you should check out www.meetup.com there are a lot of mommy and me play groups on there and I'm sure you will find one that is near by and has activities your are interested in. Good Luck!

You should join MOMS Club. You can meet lots of moms in your neighborhood and see who you "click" with. There are lots of moms old & young and frankly if someone judges you by your age, who needs them! momsclub.org They'll put you with the one in your neighborhood. Good luck, J.

hey i just wanna say don't sweat being a young mom. i was 16 when i got pregnant and seventeen when i gave birth.yeah there were times i got looks and maybe a little attitude from older moms but ya know i still the best i could. and my girls are doing ok.... i hope.....well they knew i was there mom and i whould be there rock no mater what... and that is what counts how yuore babies need....

The best place I found to get in touch with other moms was www.meetup.com You can go on there and search moms groups in your area and even put in specifics requirements you are looking for. I am out in Gilbert and the groups that I am involved in can be found at http://sahm.meetup.com/2528/ and http://playgroup.meetup.com/874/ I have met some great moms and have had some great times!!

Hey T., I also have a zoo membership, and would like to find someone that I could go with. I have 2 children, ages 4 & 2. I am actually pregnant with my 3rd, and hopefully will be having the baby anytime now. After I have the baby I would love to meet up. I live around Lindsey & University

Hi T., i would like to hear from you. My daughter has 5 children. 3 boys and 2 girls. And she is looking to meet other moms. She has not been able to get out because she does not have a car. I will tell you more later. I have a new grandson he is 3 weeks old. We live in mesa. On brown rd. & mesa dr. D. m. (cell ###-###-####) we are having a birthday party and baby shower in phoenix soon. Maybe we can talk before then.

I SO HEAR YOUR PAIN!! When I moved to phoenix I was very lonely because my husband worked all the time and I didn't know any other moms. I also did child care. Now I don't. BUT what saved me was joining a moms club. It was great. Not only did it offer playgroups for other kids the same age as my children, but I also learned where a bunch of great parks and fun kid activiites are. Not to mention some really great lasting friendships with great woman. I would suggest researching them in your areas. I live in North Phoenix, so mine won't help.
