Getting to Know You...

What is your career, or what do you do for a living?

And what does your husband do?

I work for a major auto insurance carrier, and I handle medical claims. However, I have a master's degree in School Psychology. Decided shortly after graduating that I didn't want to do that for a living, but worked in a related field for a number of years. Then moved on to this job. It's not in my career field, but I enjoy my work for the most part. I work 30 hours per week, in 3 days, so I'm off 4 days. Good pay, good benefits, relative security. Can't complain.

My husband is a sewage plant operator by day, and a race car engine builder by night. Well, actually, it's the opposite, as he works afternoon shift at the plant, and does his engine business during the day. It's his passion. And he's pretty good. ;) He earns a decent wage at the plant, but his business is earning him a nice supplemental income, which we are using to pay off things at this point. Someday, we hope to have more fun with it! :)

How about you?

Jenny ~ I laughed when I typed that title because I am singing it too!!

Scarlett ~ I work in medical claims for a major auto insurance carrier. Can you imagine the number of ambulance chasers I deal with daily? Truly, it's staggering... But LOL at the comment... :)

NBinMN ~ We do drag racing too! LOVE IT! Totally with you on the instant gratification thing... My husband will do engines for some other kinds of cars as well, but his business is based on drag cars!

Husband and I are both Prototype Mechanics.... Well, I'm in an office now, but I'm still labeled as such. We both went to school to be aircraft mechanics (not the same time) and found out that it didn't pay and kind of sucked. But it did help us both get where we are now.

We both work in the same shop at AM General.

I'm retired and supplement our income in the stock market and as Santa Claus during November and December. I love being Santa.

My wife just got promoted into management in the Gas Company and is working as an IT SAP manager.

Its nice to see what others do for a living.

Good luck to you and yours.

BTW if anyone knows a photo comapny that wants to hire a Santa, please let me know. Also, I'm applying to be a Santa on cruise lines this year.
