Getting Scared About Trying to Get Pregnant Again.
I have had two miscarriages both have started with cramping as if I was going to get my period. The cramps would get worse until I would just miscarry, usually around 7 or 8 weeks. I never would spot or bleed. My Doctor has run dozens of tests and everything has come back fine. My question is that my doctor would like to put me on progesterone suppositories next time I get pregnant. Has anyone used these and what was their outcome? If you have used them did you have some of the same symptoms as me and did they go away with use of the suppositories.

I have not but two of my close friends have used the progesterone suppositories. Both had multiple miscarriages and when they each got pregnant and used the progesterone, they both had full term babies. It's something called luteal (spelling probably wrong) phase defect or something like that. I am not an expert, but have seen it in 2 friends...best of luck!

I took oral progesterone both times for 14 days and have two amazing, terrific, super cute and intelligent (so I am biased) boys. Good luck, I think it is is going to work out well for you.

Hi, J.,
I have been pregnant four times. I used progesterone suppositories during the first two, which ended in miscarriage. I injected heparin during my second pregnancy. My miscarriages sounded like yours. I injected progesterone in oil during the third, which resulted in the birth of my first live child. I did not experience any side effects from prednisone of any form I tried. I did not use progesterone during my fourth, which resulted in the birth of my second live child. During my last two pregnancies, I injected heparin and ingested prednisone to address an immune disorder, antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. I am not sure what caused my miscarriages. Lack of prednisone, advanced maternal age when I conceived, ages 38 to 41, are likely causes of my miscarriages.
Good luck,
L. E

Hi J.,
Definitely do it. I did it, my cousin did it and my girlfriend did it and we have 5 boys between the 3 of us.
I had different symptoms with my miscarriage... I just started slightly bleeding - I didn't have cramps at all. I went to the doctor and they saw that there was no heartbeat. I'm not sure what happened with my cousin and my friend.
When I got pregnant the second time (a few months later), I immediately started on the progesterone and it worked.
You just have to insert them every night for the first 12 weeks.
Good luck!

Hi J.
Yes, taking progesterone will definitely increase your chances of having a healthy pregnancy. I know many, many people who have had multiple miscarriages and then took PG and carried their baby to term. I would also ask your doctor to do some bloodwork to see if you have any genetic blood clotting disorders. Don't let them talk you out of it or say that it's not neccesary. Blood clotting disorders are pretty common, easy to test for, and they are also a common cause of miscarriages and fetal death. They are also very easy to treat, with bloodthinners.
I wish you the best and I am very sorry for your losses. If you have any questions about any of this please feel free to contact me directly by responding to this message privately. :-)

Hi J.-
I had a few miscarriages before I was able to carry by daughter to term, then one more miscarriage before my son's pregnancy. For his pregnancy they found that my levels were low so they put my on the progesterine suppositories. They were extremely uncomfortable, and I was soooo sick, but I do have a healthy, beautiful 10 year old boy today.
Good Luck!!

Hey J.,
We ended up going through IVF to conceive as a result of three years of trying with no luck. With IVF I had hormone supplementation, one of which was the Progesterone vaginal suppositories. I am happy to report that we are 18 weeks pregnant with a little boy.
The suppositories are easy to use, just one a day inserted vaginally. You will not notice any hormone fluxes, but may be a tad bit more tired.
Progesterone is a necessity for the first trimester. It is what the body utilizes to maintain a healthy pregnancy and if the levels are not high enough, miscarriage can occur. If you do get pregnant, and are able to maintain a healthy pregnancy, this will be your indicator that your body needs more of it.
Good luck to you!

I have never used them, but they stopped miscarriages for my neighbor and she went on to have two children.

go through a good homeopathic treatment before you get pregnant. find a homeopath who is not MD and has CCH credentials.
Good Luck
