"The Champion" juicer is the one that all the really serious juicers have recommended to me over the years. My parents have it and it works great!

If you want to get a good start, call my nutritionist! She's on Kemp & Ave K. Advanced Clinical Nutrition, Dr. Donna Smith, www.advancedclinicalnutrition.com. If you listen to Newstalk 1290 you might have heard the radio commercials. I started going about 6 months ago and have lost 20 lbs and have no more migraines! An extra benefit that I wasn't expecting was that I have no cellulite on my thighs like I did. It wasn't really bad before since I try to work out regularly but nothing I've ever done in my workout routines got rid of it like going to her has! Someone told me it might have something to do with lowering the glycemic index of foods I'm eating. I don't care! Since I moved here to Texas I've been sitting a LOT more in this job than what I did before so I'm lucky I haven't spread over both sides of the seat! Plus I haven't gotten back into the same workout routine that I had before. But I just turned 50 and had a guy near my age tell me he thought I look late 30's or early 40's! Dr. Smith can start you out on a slow track so it's not much more expensive that what you're probably spending on over the counter vitamins now - that aren't doing you any good!! She also isn't a big fan of juicing since her philosophy is to eat WHOLE foods and take WHOLE supplements. I'm sure Jack LaLanne eats enough other whole foods to make up for what he's not getting in the juicing so it doesn't hurt him. What's bad is when people replace eating whole fruits and veggies with just the juice. Go to Dr. Smith's website and get the free consultation! I'm planning on living as long and as healthy as I can with her help! Tell her C. told you to call.

Hey S.,
I love my Jack La Lane Juicer I have had it since Jan. and it has been wonderful! I love mixing apple and oranges together, it is to die for! And I cant wait to try all the yummy summer fruits that are starting to come out. I would highly recommend one. I got mine at bed bath and beyond. If you get their coupons in the mail, every so often they send out a 20% off one. I got my juicer for $80. $20 off! Just an idea. When I first got it I used it all day long, now just every now and then, but I am still very happy with my purchase! Hope this helps, Happy Juicing!

Hello S., we use the Greenstar juicer. My husband researched the juicers thoroughly before decided to go with the Greenstar. We chose this juicer because we also wanted to juice our homegrown barley grass. We've taken a break from this for a while.

If you want more info on the Greenstar, go to http://www.greenstar.com/index.asp or email me directly. We are looking into carrying the juicers on our website.

Blessings

Hi S.,

I have one of his juice machines and it works great!! Clean-up is easy and there's a recipe book that comes with it. I've seen other juice machines and I think Jack's is the best. If you can afford it, go get it!!

Good luck!

S.,

I have the Jack Lalane (sp) juicer and I absolutely love it !!!! I juice everything - fruits, veggies, etc. The juicer comes with a recipe book but I can tell you after you've tried a few of their concoctions, you will be making up your own recipes and trying different combinations. The juice that comes from juicing this was is soooooo much better tasting and better fro you than the store bought stuff. There is no comparison. I have had myine for about 2 1/2 yrs now and all I can say is that it is a great product for a fairly inexpensive price and you won't regret getting it. The only negative (if you will) that I might say about it is that cleaning up after you've juiced is somewhat time consuming the first few times then you get used to taking the machine apart and cleaning and it doesn't seem so bad then.

Let me know if you get one and what you think about it. Happy juicing !!! :)

Hi S.,
This was my experience with the Jack LaLane juicer...

My husband got on a big health kick early last year that lasted all of about one week. We got the Jack LaLanne's Power Juicer and had every intention of juicing fruits & veggies every day. We went to the Whole Foods store, bought about $200 in fresh organic vegetables and some vitamin supplements (ouch!). The supplements he eventually took, but most of the veggies went bad in the fridge before I used them. I tried juicing one day and almost cried, cleaning the machine was an absolute nightmare. [Note, don't ever let anything dry in that screen thing, it's never coming out!] Not to mention, the bright red beet juice drops that took weeks to clean off all of the surfaces of my kitchen as the lid wasn't on properly when I first turned it on. The juicer now lies dormant at the farthest corner of my bottom cupboard gathering dust. Everyone has great intentions at first as I did, but my story doesn't stop here...

One day late last year, after struggling for 3 weeks to get over bronchitis and feeling as if I was dying, I stumbled into a whole food juice powder called "The Feast". I was desperate to feel better, so I ordered a few sample packets for $9.95. I tried it out on my kids, because that was the most important thing, they HAD to LIKE it . It took 5 seconds to mix it with 6 oz of water and viola, real live whole food juice, and my kids actually drank it. It's not like one of those green drinks you can buy at the store that's crazy pricey and has been pasteurized (which means heated to a temperature that kills nutrients). It's been dried by a proprietary process that keeps the vitamins and minerals intact, as if you ate the produce hours from being harvested. In fact, it's like getting 4 full servings of vegetables in that 6 oz. Except...it has so much more in there. Each serving of "The Feast" contains:

- 30 antioxidant rich fruits & berries,
- 30 power greens & vegetables,
- 11 nutrient dense seeds, nuts & sprouts,
- 83 active enzymes & fulvic mineral blend, and
- 22 resilient living probiotics

It's also naturally sweetened with Stevia (leaf) and contains only 4 g of fruit sugars. Oh, and did I mention that these ingredients are either certified organic and/or free of synthetic pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers?

I didn't have to spend any time shopping, chopping, slicing, juicing, cleaning or spend a bunch of money on expensive organic produce (that I would have to use immediately because veggies loose all their vitamins the longer they sit in the fridge). Each serving of "The Feast" costs about $1.17... try buying 4 servings of organic veggies for that.

So what happened??? Within 2 days I was feeling MUCH better and very glad I avoided the antibiotics that were my back-up plan sitting in my cabinet. My kids are getting at least their 5 fruits & veggies per day. I take a super-charged version of "The Feast" in the morning instead of coffee that gives me lots of energy. My husband is using it as part of his new "lifestyle" and diet change and has lost 30lbs since Jan. 1st.

So WHY am I telling you all of this? Well, to let you know what I eventually found what worked for my family, and yes, I benefit from telling you about it if you decide it works for you & your family. ;-)

I can mail you some samples if you're interested in trying it.
S., you're definitely on the right track. I think it's great that you're wanting to get healthier, stick with it!

My husband loves telemarketing tv so yes we have this juicer. It is actually very powerful and works great. It comes with a recipe book. We tried a lot of them and tasted great. I would recommend finding a place in teh kitchen where you can actually leave it out. I found that if it is out i use it a lot more. I want to experiment more with the pulp but i haven't done much with that yet. Just the carrots for muffins/breads. It is great to have when fruit is about to get too soft. I mix it all up for a fruit juice and i really get my monies worth out of it. Good luck! Fyi...go easy on the ginger root...it is strong.
