Try this website www.reachfitness.tv/
It is free & has some really good workouts! I have been going there lately & get a really great cardio workout. The variety is great!

Also, if you have cable On Demand, there is a section called Lifescool & it has a fitness section with free workout videos you can watch on demand!
Good luck!

E.,

I have discovered the best website called Sparkpeople.com. It's a free site that is designed to help you reach your personal health and fitness goals by tracking your exercise and nutrition. There's even a section that is full of healthful recipes.

Check it out. I think you'll like it as much as I do.
Good luck!

E.,
I think it's wonderful that you're working to get and stay healthy. I think Pilates is a great way to get in shape because it often targets multiple areas with one exercise. Plus, a lot of it is performed on the floor and since I'm always on the floor with my son, it's easy for me to get in a a couple of sets every now and then and then do longer routines once he is sleeping. Allrecipes is a website I really enjoy. They have a large online collection of recipes for different diets, cuisines, etc. and there is a great variety to choose from. Additionally, they have user comments on the recipes so you have an idea of whether its something worth cooking. Keep in mind that a serving size is often smaller than we think. For example, a whole banana may actually be 2 servings of fruit. I wish I had a resource to refer you to, but it may help to find out exactly what constitutes a serving and then you can organize your menus to ensure that you and your children our getting the recommended daily requirements. The best of luck to you. Sometimes it is challenging, but I'm sure you'll make it happen.

I eat raw fruits and veggies (carrots, cucumbers, celery, etc.) as snacks all through the day. It's yummy and helps me get in my servings. Also I eat a salad before EVERY meal. You may not notice weight loss right away, but you will be healthier. Also if you drink sodas....don't! Water helps wieght loss!!

I know it might sound corny, but I'm a big fan of The Firm. They have a big box they sell at target for $60...it's got the 'Transfirmer' (a 6" and an 8" step that you can use in 5 different ways) and three 45 min videos that each have 8 min extras. Plus the book it comes with has recipes for 3 meals a day for 3 weeks and a workout rotation schedule. I love step aerobics, and the firm mixes that with weights and ab workouts. It's hard but I love it, especially when I can see my body shape changing for the better and knowing it's because of all my hard work. If you like aerobic exercising, this is really fun.

Yoga is great because it doesn't take much space and there are lots of levels from easy to very hard. You can get videos/DVDs from the library.
Do you have a crockpot? You can type in "crockpot recipes" on google, yahoo, or ask.com and it will come up with all sorts of things that are easy to prepare in the morning or mid-day and just leave to come back to when you are ready to eat.

I've had lots of personal trainers and they all say that in order for a woman to really lose weight, and do it in a somewhat short period of time, they have to incorporate cardio. This includes walking for sure, but I've been told that women should include sprints in their cardio to get their heartrate up. I try to jog or walk for a minute or two or whatever, then run for even only 20 seconds, whatever you can handle. The sprint times will increase as you get stronger. If you're eating healthy, that is awesome. Don't get frustrated though, it took me about 4 or so weeks of working out and dieting before the weight really started falling off. I lost a couple of pounds the first month, but after that, I lost 13 pounds in about 4 or 5 weeks. It melts off of you once you retrain your body by exercising, etc.
