Getting a Stain Out
I really need some help getting a stain out of a sweat suit i just got my daughter for school and of course the 1st time she wore it i picked her up with a mystery stain all down the leg!!!! I wouldn't really care but it is such a nice outfit and she only wore it once. =( I have treated it with shout and washed it in cold and there is still some there. i have not dried it and P.S. it says either wash in cold or dry clean recommended. i hope someone has an idea that wrks! thanks ladies!

I would highly recommend Dreft stain remover if you have never tried it. I use it all the time and it is the best. I have two boys so the stains are countless but this stuff has gotten out blood and red popcicle so I consider it a mircle stain remover.

Be careful with Lestoil. It sometimes fades the colors. Before trying it, try Dawn dish washing liquid. It works on quite a few different types of stains.
Also, there is a new product from Spray n Wash for set in stains. I'm not sure how well it works, though.

I use Zout on everything but make sure it is the one in the blue bottle because the other one is not good. It takes out everything including grease blood oil you name it. Hope this helps. When you put it in the stain scrub it with a scrub brush to make sure that it is soaked into the clothes.

i mix borax with warm water to dissolve it and then pour it over the entire garment and into the wash load. Then I go ahead and wash in cold water. I also stop the washer when it is full of water to let it soak for about half an hour. You can let the washer agitate for a bit before stopping the washer. I have used shout and had the same results you did. sometimes it just takes another application. You can try shout directly on the stain and then the borax treatment. Also, I have found that stubborn stains come out easier if washed by themselves. If your washer has a catalyst cycle, it would be best to use this.

Spray N Wash with Oxi Clean, the one with two sides of the bottle and then you spray them together. If you let it sit for 10-20 minutes, there is nothing it has not been able to get out with it, but you have to let it sit for that time before you put it in the washer.
