The vinegar works as the other ladies stated below but I also recently found Tide Sport. My daughter is potty training and seems to pee everywhere but the toilet and this has worked wonders on the pee smell.

Good luck!

Vinegar. I would hang the clothes in the sun instead of putting them in the dryer. It works on getting the stink out of cloth diapers.

I'd use baking soda and vinegar. Not together because they will bubble impressively, while they are busy neutralizing each other.

Baking soda (or washing soda or borax) are good for neutralizing smells in the wash cycle. Vinegar in the rinse cycle will further neutralize smells and soften the wash because it is mildly acidic.

There are also enzyme cleaners that are good for organic smells.

Covering up organic smells with chemical scents does not work well. And fabric softeners are not only highly toxic, but they also coat the fibers and seal in whatever smells were not washed out.

Try washing the clothes with vinegar. It works to get the smell out, then you can re-wash with regular detergent to get the vinegar smell out. There is also a product they sell in pet stores, Natures Miracle, that works wonders with carpet, so it may work with clothes, but I haven't tried it for clothes before. Good luck!

They're right, vinegar will help, but I've also found that using a brand called Purex has helped me to get that smell out of my son's laundry when he does things like wet the bed. Hope this helps!

Bleach or a laundry soap containing Fabreeze (sp?). I'd throw some baking soda in there too....

Spray everything w/ Sol-U-Mel...maybe even soak it for awhile afterwards before washing. Then wash again w/ some Sol-U-Mel added to the wash. Works wonders for odors.

I sometimes add a tablespoon of alcohol if there is a strong urine smell- like isopropyl alcohol and some baking soda or white vinegar. It has gotten rid of smells pretty well for me.

baking soda and vinegar...DO NOT DRY IT IN THE DRYER!!! until you are confident that the smell is gone...

Lemon juice also works...pour EITHER vinegar or lemon juice on the area = BOTH SIDES - let it set for a while (about an hour) then wash it with more lemon juice or vinegar - which ever one you used...

Good luck!

Add some white vinegar to your wash - 1/2 to 1 cup - and don't add any fabric softener liquid, use dryer sheets.

Echoing the use of vinegar in the wash!

I also use a product called Lestoil (you can find it in most major supermarkets with other laundry and cleaning supplies). Add Lestoil to the wash and let it soak for a half hour (longer if you can allow it) before laundering.

Soak it in vinegar for a bit. Then, add about a cup of vinegar to the wash with your soap. If that doesn't get it out, it might not ever come out.
