Get a Facial or Get a Peel? Which Works Best for Dull Post-partum/nursing Skin?
I was not a lucky mom who had glowing skin during her pregnancy (maybe glowing with foundation and concealer!) However, I _was_ lucky enough to have the glowing skin after giving birth...until recently. Something nobody tells you is that when your hair starts falling out, your facial skin starts to lose its luster, too. So now my T-zone is dry, rough, and clogged up/acne prone--a strange combo. I've been told that for my condition, I should get a peel instead of a facial+extractions. I've also been told that bi-weekly facials+extractions will improve my skin's texture. Which one has worked best for you in the past?

As much as a weekly treatment and microdermabrasion will HELP, daily skincare is really the answer. Weekly treatments can get expensive and time-consuming, so something you can do at home would be even better. My skin never lost its luster because I've been able to stick with a daily and nightly skincare routine.
Since I'm a Mary Kay consultant, obviously, I recommend our AWESOME TimeWise skincare line (you can try it with me for FREE), but really you need to find something that WORKS FOR YOU. If the $4 cleanser and moisturizer you find in the grocery store works for you, then stick with it and reap the benefits! Hope you find something GREAT!

Omg- that exact same thing happened to me! I was a hot mess, super thin hair and acne! So the hair grows back, thankfully, and seeing a great estetician will be a godsend for your skin. The first appointment I had, I had a chemical peel and went back a week later for a post peel facial and my skin was so much better after that first week. I continue to get a facial once a month because they are relaxing and as a M. it is important to take some time to pamper yourself. I had never had a facial before having my daughter because I never had an issue with my skin, but it's awesome. My esthetician will determine what I need each appt. by looking at my skin...I just book the time and she looks at my skin and say "ok, today we are doing a micro-dermabrasion" etc. I am not sure if this is how they all work, but they are the skin experts so they should be able to tell you what your skin needs. You will be glowing again in no time!!

Hi! I had the same problem. My mom recommended the stuff she has been using for 15 years. I was of course reluctant and finally bought it. My skin is so much better. Its called beauticontrol. Let me know if you're interested. I'm offering 20 percent off until Friday or if you're interested you can pay 99 dollars for over 500 dollars worth of products. The products are amazing and I am not just saying that.
