Gerber Training Pants/Waterproof Pants
Hi Mamas. I am trying to find the training pants (not pull-ups) that look like really thich underwear and the waterproof pants that go over those. My sone is 3.5 and will go EVERYTIME I take him, but is too busy doing everything to stop and go. I think he feels like he's wearing a diaper so why bother! I need a store to actually buy them in vs online as I do not have a cc that I can use. Financially strapped beyond belief right now and not spending $9.00 every 3 days on pull=ups would mean I could eat dinner more than once per week (seriously). Please tell me if you know of a place in the DFW are that sells these. Thank you!
So What Happened?™
I just want to say Thank You to all the mom's and grandma's that replied! This website has been such a blessing for me and my family! So many Angels on here!
Thank you again - my family and I appreciate all of you so very much!

I have found them in both Walmart and Target recently. At walmart though, they were not next to the toddler underware- they were one aisle over in the Gerber clothing area (by the onesies and washcloths...). They didn't work for my daughter- but I think they do on most kids. My little one is only potty trained without pants on- put something ANYTHING on her and potty training is out the window. If anyone has tips for me please email!

I found some at Walmart & Babies R Us, I think Target even has them.

I would go to Burlington Coat Factory, as Walmart and Target were always out of them when I needed them last year. They are also $1 less expensive there for the underwear. Good luck with the potty training.

I bought mine at Walmart. I just wanted to tell you that they are kind of hard to find, but they are there. At the Walmart I go to, they are at the very bottom of the Gerber things, by the onesies and receiving blankets. Just look down when looking for them, not at eye-level. Good luck!

A., I bought both the vinyl training pants and the thick cotton training pants at walmart. Both were Gerber brand and worked great for us! If you don't find any and would be interested in purchasing used ones, just let me know, I probably still have some that I can part with. Good luck! ____@____.com

I found the training pant/plastic cover combo at the Target in Dallas on Northwest Hwy and Marsh Lane(?). I think that is the cross street. I live in Fort Worth, but it didn't take me long to get there, and it was well worth it! I think my son needed to feel himself wet in order to make the connection. You can also find the two separate items you mentioned at Target. I did those as well.

Go with the training pants at JC Penney, they are more absorbent (and don't dry them with softener or they lose their absorbency). You should be able to find the vinyl Gerber pants at Wal-Mart - near the layette stuff or a a larger Babies R Us.

Target, Walmart, Babies R Us, or JCPenney.

A few years ago, I was able to get both of these at Walmart. My boys are 7 and 9 now so I haven't been to the baby/toddler aisles in a long time. They were in the toddler underwear section. Hope this helps.
