Gently Used Pre-teen Clothes for Sale.

Looking for a re-sale store in the Arlington-mid cities area? I have a pre-teen girl who has out-grown everything she owns. Some items still have the sales tags on. Any suggestions to recoup the financial burden of clothing a teenage girl.

What can I do next?

Thanks to all for the information - I received great information about upcoming sale in Ft. Worth called Just Between Friends, and Platos Closet, and an on-line sale. I plan on checking them all out. J..

I would love to know what sizes you have. We have some family memeber that are undergoing a sever financial burden and we are helping them out. They are not opposed to gently worn clothing. My experience has been that the resale stores don't give you much more than garage sale prices and some are very picky in what they will take. Send me a message on what you have and how much you anticipate wanting to sell for.

JBF and Platos closet are good options if you just want to make something off them but you aren't going to get near as much as you would selling them yourself. I would try ebay (although has fees and shipping), Craigslist (free & local) or there are also Yahoo groups you can sell through like Tarranty County Online Garage Sale, DFW online garage sale, and DFW Give sell or trade. There are tons of them out there. You can set your own price and not pay any fees.

goggle a Platos CLoset in your area
- whatever they dont take- try another thrift store and then the remainder to charity-
Also- dont know if it interests you but Diving Consign is at the Grapevine Convention Center- I was shocked

You can take your kdis clothes there to sell

You really dont get anything from the resale shops. Have you heard of Just Between Friends. Its a huge consignment sale coming up in Sept. You prepare and price your items and then take them to the sale- you get 65% of the sell price. It is a great sale and the accept clothes up to teen. This will be my first year to sell, but I have shopped before and they have some great things and the sale is so big! Its held at Will Rogers in Ft Worth. (I think they have one in Arlington too but I dont know about it-they are put on by different people) I believe the one in Ft Worth is the largest! Look them up online at www.jbfsale.com. They hold a fall and spring sale each year.

My son shops there and loves the bargains. We haven't sold to them yet. Best of luck to you. It's expensive to clothe children these days.

Plato's Closet is the best! It is on Cooper and Sublett, the same shopping center as Albertsons. I have a 13 year old girl and we have been going there for a couple of yeats, selling and buying. Good luck!
