When did you all find out the sex of your baby? It is killing me to wait. I am 14 weeks and 3 days. I've heard that with a really good ultrasound tech you can find out as early as 16 weeks.

What can I do next?

Congratulations. I had mine at 16 weeks. They can tell.. Drink you a coke before going to get him/her moving around. This is my third pregnancy and I have found out each time. If its a boy you can definately tell. I have 3 girls(one on the way) and I watched my friends ultasound when she had a boy..there was no mistaking that lol.

I have had to have several ultrasounds done this pregnancy due to complications. I think with my oldest, I was 20 weeks. My next ultrasound is scheduled for monday when I'll be 18 weeks, and that is to determine gender. At 15 weeks the ultrasound was clear, clearer than what I remembered my son's being, but we couldn't tell. I'd wait till they schedule it. Your doctor knows when is best. Unless you're on medicaid, I'd wait till your doctor schedules one, because a lot of insurance won't cover more than one, unless you're getting them done due to complications. 16 weeks is probably gonna be too early

I didn't find out until half way through my pregnancy...she wouldn't cooperate. She turned and moved just where the tech couldn't see what she was.

Sorry, but I was 20 weeks. They say until that time they could easily be wrong. This is the time that things are clearest. Of course, even at 20 weeks they can be wrong. So, go figure.

The Dr. will suggest an ultrasound around 15-16 wks. We have five children, we were able to see all of them at that point. Hope you will get too also. Congrats on the new baby!!

You can normally find out starting at around 18 weeks but they like you to be at least 20 weeks I think.

Usually at about 20 weeks is when you'll get your best estimate! I think I was 19 weeks and they said it was a bit early, but the ultrasound tech was pretty sure it was a girl and she was right! You don't really want to try as early as 16 weeks, because you can't be as sure, so what's the point of thinking it "might" be one gender, then finding out at your next appointment that it was just a finger!

With so much technology, gender is able to be declared earlier and earlier. I had mine at 20 weeks and that was last March 2005. See how many ultrasounds your insurance will cover. If it only covers one then you definitely don't want to get so early where you can't tell. The best is to talk with your doctor, they would be the best to let you know when's the best time for an ultrasound.

I recently found out I was having a boy when I was 17 weeks, although they told me my baby is around 18 weeks development wise. Little man gave us a nice angle and it was easy to tell the gender. Probably only a few more weeks before you can tell, as long as the baby is cooperative and will give the ultrasound technician a good angle. Congratulations!

I had mine at 20 weeks. That was 6 years ago. Some places with the new 4-d can do it at 16 weeks or so. Good luck. ( I had a boy!)

Congrats! I am currently 26 weeks preggo and we found out it is a girl when I was at 18 weeks. Also look into 4d ultrasounds...they are amazing! You will be able to see exactally what he/ahe will look like! Best Wishes!

I had an ultrasound to find out how far along I was. She told me I was 13 1/2 weeks and "off the record" ( she couldn't put it in writing) that it looked like I would have a boy. I haven't had another yet to find out, but when I do I'll let you know.

I found out at 21 weeks. Usually you can find out no earlier than 20 weeks, and sometimes it is still hard to tell.

I found out at around 15 weeks that I was having a boy. It was quite clear to us, too. It was a more high tech model, but it wasn't a 4D ultrasound. After we had found out, I learned we were a little early in getting the ultrasound, but it proved to be correct. I wasn't the one to schedule that appointment, the doctor's office did it for me.

Good luck!!

I was 21 weeks for my first child, as a matter of fact, they said that that was the most ideal time to be able to determine the gender because they can see everything so much clearer at that time.
