Gender Selection - Killingworth,CT

Listening to so many moms discuss methods they've tried to increase their chances of having a boy or girl, I'm beginning to wonder if other moms out there used certain methods and believe they worked. I ultimately think one should be happy with whatever sex baby they end up with since health is all that really matters, but this has peaked my curiosity. So if moms out there have feedback, please respond.

Nothing that I tried worked. . . just focus on the health of the child. I have 3 family members that all lost babies in the last 2 years so I am just thankful to have my children with me:)

There has been a study done on diets and gender...http://www.womenshealthmag.com/health/moms-diet-affects-b...

It has made all the national papers.

Good luck,
Mom of 2 boys!

My husband and I tried all the "tips" out there--ph levels, timing intercourse, girl diet, etc. Just found out it's a boy. :( I guess it's up to God.

We have 2 boys and my husband finally is ready to try for another child. We will try counting but I believe that God knows what to give us(or He might choose not to give another at all)(I think my husband wants us to have a girl so I leave our boys along and stop putting them in dance and ice skating classes LOL)

When my husband and I were trying to get pregnant, we heard about eating certain foods and certain sexual positions that were supposed to help you have a boy (my husband always wanted a boy and then a girl). We both knew that we'd be happy either way but thought it couldn't hurt to try what we read. We did everything it said to have a boy and we had a girl! It worked out for the best, though, because we have a beautiful 5 month old daughter and my husband is so in love with her. It didn't work for us but it didn't hurt to try!

Not one method worked...nor was the Chinese chart thing right either...

Hi E.,

I have three girls & two suggestions. One of them is what the other moms said, you need to have sex before you ovulate. Use either a ovulation predictor kit which I did (not because I wanted girls, but b/c my cycles were so irregular, i didn't know when I ovulated) or you can use an online ovulation calendar which will calculate your fertile days. OR, now this is going to sound crazy, go online & look up the Chinese Conception Chart. It is extremely accurate, it predicts by your age & what month you conceive in what sex child will be produced. Someone told me about it after I had my kids & I checked it out comparing how old I was & the month I conceived & it was right all three times. Everyone else I know that used it or checked afterwards the baby's gender was correct too. Worth a try, good luck & best wishes!

I am a mom if three, two girls and a boy. I have many friends and family members that have been or currently are battling infertility. I think that anyone who s blessed enough to be able to convieve should be happy with what they get. I think selecting the sex of your baby is not the natural way. I used to work for an OB group and there were so many people who were not happy about the sex of their baby, but they got over it. There were also patients that only wanted one sex over the other and then had a baby wih problems or even worse. I think the Man upstairs know what he is doing. As my kids tell me "you get what you get and you don't get upset!!"

i like the idea of having intercourse 2 days before ovulation for the theory, but i cant say if thats the reason we had our girl, kwim. good luck
