Hello all! I'm a mom of 2 wonderful daughters. Recently, my husband and I have decided to try for 3rd one, hoping for a boy. I heard about this Chinese Gender Calender. Has anyone tried this before? I looked at it and it was right for my first but wrong for my second. I really regret for looking it up because now I'm all caugt up on this. Basically, I won't be able to have a boy for quite a while but we kind of want to start trying now! I'm worried if I go against this calender I will end up with a girl, again! I don't know what to do. I really kick myself for looking at this gender calender..... Please help me. I need some advice!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

First of all, I want to thank you all for your advice. I'm truely thankful and amazed on how much support I got from all of you moms! Thanks a lot!

I'm going to try not let this bother me too much. I think it probably makes to go with more scientific ways. So, that brings to my other question. I heard that "position" matters. So which position will bring the sperms closest? Does it depend on the natural shape of the penis as well, like if it's pointing straight, or downward or upward? I appologize for being so rude and graphic. I just want to make we're it right. Sorry about this! I heard about the food part. I guess I will have to eat food that are not acidic for my body, then. Once again, thanks for all your help. You are the best!

Think of it this way - if every woman got pregnant (as an example) in June do you really think that ALL 26 year old woman who conceived in June had a girl? I just made up the month, age and gender but basically just saying it isn't reliable.

Good luck!

use a pencil needle and thread and it will tell you the sexes of your kids. put the thread in the needleand the needle in the eraser and hold it over your wrist sideways is a girl and up and down is a boy but it will show miscarriages too. my ex mil swears by it. mine was wrong. mine shows boy girl boy but I did have a miscarriage. when the pencil stops you knowthe sex and how many kids you will have. :)

Total bullcrap. Mine said that I was having a boy. Well, I have 2 girls.
Just like horoscopes... it's fun to look at, but just that. Fun.

It is all in the males chromosomes. They have both the X and the Y. We only have the X - So if you don't get your boy you can always blame it on Hubby. LOL

I don't really think any of the calendars or other tales really can determine what gender child you are having. Like Bethany said - it's fun to look at but not accurate at all.

Everyone told me I was carrying a girl because of my belly size and shape, or something (this was 14 years ago so my memory is vague). I had a boy.

Whichever gender you have, you know you will that child with all your heart and that is all that matters.

It's wrong with every member of my family except for my siblings who were born in Japan. For them, it is dead in the black.

While I highly doubt any validity, if you do, one might suggest figuring our what day it is in Asia. Or one better, going on an extended vacation to asia (e. russia, china, japan, etc.). Since lord only knows... maybe it has something to do with sun flares/magnetism/dead fish in the water supply due to spawning/ etc.

I agree with JEKMOM. I used this method twice and got a boy when trying for a boy and a girl when trying for a girl. Google "Billings Method how to make a boy" I also accurately predicted the sex of my sister's baby and best friend's baby based off of when they ovulated in relation to when they had sex. Good Luck!

actually throughout time BEFORE they had the Chinese Gender Calendar it was the male who determined the sex of the child. I believe the male still determines the sex of the child. Perhaps if you go online and determine if he should be eating more of something or less of something else it will make his body be more willing to create a male child. Also, you can eat more of something and less of something to make your body more either acidic or akaline also. I can't remember which but check online or go to the doctor and ask him.

I looked at that calender out of curiousity between pregnancies. I think it was wrong for my first. Anyway both were born early December and both about 1 week overdue so they should be same gender. Wrong..boy and girl.
i don't see how this calendar could be accurate otherwise all babies in the hospital in a given week would be the same gender.

It was right for all three of my boys, although I didn't know about it until trying for my 3rd. An unnofficial poll of my friends found it aboyt 70% accurate. If you want a boy ... start taking your prenatals, eating 1-2 bananas a day, cold cereal every morning, and use an ovulation predictor kit and time your sex based on that. Worked for me :) Good luck!

We used that AND the book How to Choose the Sex of your Baby by Shettles. We got our boy. We would have been thrilled with either of course, but we really wanted one of each. I highly recommend this book. I have known many moms who have used the methods and also got the sex they wanted to complete their families. I know that we probably would have had another girl if we had left it up to chance, because I was timing things based on a pain I get when I ovulate and that was too early to be working toward a boy. For us, it was kind of like a little game. You do what you can, and then you enjoy what you get. To make it even more fun, we didn't find out the gender until birth. WOW, that was a fun day. Good luck!

I agree there is NOTHING at all you can do to choose the sex of your baby(unless you do PGD on an embryo and only implant a boy back into your uterus). Being truly literal, if there was, do you think there would be gendercide in this world? (sorry, sore subject for me probably because with my last two boys I heard a lot of 'well didn't you try for a girl, didn't you want a girl'...yeah, because thats all it takes...and I did try about every gender swaying method out there).

So no worries.....it will be what it is. Try and forget the calendar and have fun making your next baby!

Actually I'd do a great deal of prayer in hopes of getting a boy.
Astrologically it is the cusp of the 5th, 7th and 11th house that determines the gender of your baby. If you never had a miscarriage in between or before the two daughters it'll run true. A feminine sign on the house cusp means a daughter and a masculine means a son.
I've had some success breeding goats by the moon. A girl is conceived when the moon is in a feminine sign and a male when the moon is in a masculine sign. Sag. Aquarius, Aries, not Gemini because it is the twins and either one can be conceived, Leo, Libra.

There's a book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility that is a MUCH better guide for choosing gender. You have to be okay with whoever you get though no matter how you try. It has to do with the timing of sex relative to ovulation. The library system has it.

I did the pencil test as well. It has been accurate on me and everyone else that has used it. Just google it and it will explaine how it works. You wont be able to choose your gender, but it tells what you will have.
