Funny Pregnancy Announcement Poem
I am looking for a funny short simple poem for my 7 year old grand daughter to read announcing to the entire family that her Nana is having another baby. I know this sounds crazy but I have 3 grown children of my own, 2 step sons, and between all of the kids we have 5 grandchildren. I am 40 and my husband is 42 and we just found out that we are expecting and this is an extremely joyful surprise to us because we do not have any children together. So needless to say everyone else will be shocked as well!!!!

Maybe this would work:
Roses are red
Violets are blue
You'll never believe
the news I've got for you!
It may seem a bit odd
but we're happy to say
that a bundle of joy
is now on its way!
Yes you heard me correct

to wish Nana the best
and help her celebrate!

I am not much of a poet, but a fun play on sterotypes could be a silly announcement. "Over the Hill is much more fun with a new set of wheels" then pull out a baby stroller - heck, even lead everyone out to the garage and have a bow on the stroller with a "Due in MONTH" sign.
A Riddle of Numbers (title)
When we grow
There are things we know
like one plus one is two
But what do you get when one is almost 41 and the other is 42?
Well, multiply by 9 and the answer we get is one.
"One?" you say."That can't be right?" But it is.
One new precious baby brother,sister,aunt or uncle just from us to you!
Ok That was pretty bad, but maybe you can edit it to read more eloquently.

Have you ever met a child who was older than their aunt? Well here I am to tell you that now you can't! I'll give my aunt or uncle a whole lot of lovin, that's right you heard correctly, nana's got a bun in the oven! :)

This is not a poem but, My daughter invited us all out for Chinese food and had special fortune cookie made up to announce the birth. We were all thrilled. Congrats!
