Does anyone know of any really fun parks in the Roy or Weber county area? I am trying to put together a schedule for a ward play group.

What can I do next?

There is a fun park called Jaycee park on 2500 Fillmore Ave in Ogden. It's in East Ogden close to where I live. It is a few blocks east of Harrison Blvd. I take my son there all the time. I really like it because the play structure is kind of in the middle of the park. There is enough room for me to walk around the play structure while my seven year old son plays and I can still see him. It also has a beautiful view of the canyon and big beautiful trees. I went to some parks in weber county that were further west and sometimes there were just strange people at the park. Sometimes I got scared even....but never at Jaycee park. I also go to Taylor Elementary in East Ogden to let my son play on the playground. The school is closed but again it is a beautiful place and fun. The Ogden Lion Club park is also okay but still I've been a little uncomfortable there. Well...hope that helps. The childrens museum in Ogden is new and it's really neat. It's next to the Ogden Temple. Well...if you have any questions you can email me at ____@____.com luck.

My families favorite park is the one near the Riverdale fire station. They have several picnic areas, and toys for both big kids and little kids. Plenty of swings to go around, too! I live in Plain City, and drive 20 minutes to get there but I think it is workth it, because all the parks around here are lousy for little kids...my oldest is only 2.

In north Ogden there is a splash park and swimming pool. It is a lot of fun for kids and a deeper pool for older kids. (off of 2300 N) The Dinosaur park is pretty cool and there is another park a little west of there on the same road. (I can't remember the name) but it has trails and lots of grass. Washington Terrace has a big nice park with baseball fields, playsets, pinic benches, and lots of grass. (behind Ogden Reginal called Rhomer Park). Off of 12th street and Mountain Rd is a park called Rolling hills. It is in a quiet neighborhood has playset, tables and a really big hill. We had a ward activity and they had set up an adult water slide down it. Good luck!

The park at Municipal Elementary School in Roy (south of 5600 S. and about 2400 W.?)is really fun. There are lots of things to do. A balance beam, short climbing wall, a turning wheel up high, that kids can either hang on or sit and hold onto while they spin. And Lots of different slides, swings, etc. My girls 5 and 2 really like it.

Another park we like to go to is the Mt. Ogden park, right there next to the golf course. There are two different playgrounds, picnic area, lots of shade. I believe there are swings as well. We love the one by the Riverdale firestation - there are safe play toys for smaller toddlers as well as bigger kids.
