Friend Feels Wierd Sensation

A friend of mine is feeling a wierd sensation under her left rib when she sits up from laying down and when she moves in different positions. She thinks she is squishing her baby, which I have told her that she isn't. She is 6 months along. When I was pregnant, my baby was always on my right side and high up, so I always felt pressure under my right rib. I am not sure if it is the same thing that it happening to her. Has anyone had this happen before? What was it? Any advice that I can provide to my friend would be helpful, since she is freaking out.

What can I do next?

I'm 6 months along, and have the same feeling. Also don't forget that babies tend to poke their little feet and hands in and around your ribs. Ouch! Remind your friend that her baby is in a protective bag of water, and it is highly unlikely that she is squishing it.

I had the exact same thing! There was no releif for me. It only got worse with every single pound I gained. I had to drive with my right arm behind my head and use my left hand for my mouse. I have no cures! Sorry, but she is not alone.

My only cure is a chiropractor and (prenatal) yoga.

She's not squishing her baby, though - it's the other way around.

It is proabably a foot or an elbow hitting her ribs. I used to get this. No worries!:)
