Free Home Items

Hi there,

Does anyone know the name of the website you can use to advertise free home items? It's similar to a craigs listing, but you can narrow it down to your own town and give things from your home away for free. I've forgotten the name of the site.

Thanks!
C.

One site I know of is freecycle.com You can pick different towns to join and you can get mailings. You can put things up to give or things that are wanted. I hope that's the right one!

Hi C.!
The name of the site is Freecycle.org. I use it all the time, for donating or getting things we need. I've gotten strollers, coffee & filters, books & toys, given away a queen size bed and books, etc. It's a great site!

www.freecycle.org offers local chapters where you can offer and receive free items.
You just need to create an account (it is a Yahoo group) and then post the items. I have used the site many times here in Southern NH. People will come to your home to pick up the items.
Good luck.

my husband uses something called freecycle. If you do a search you could probably find it. You can put things on it or get things from it. We've gotten boxes for moving, a Barbie airplane, even a kids desk. And put things on like an old printer, window blinds, etc.. He really likes it

You may be thinking of freecycle. I run one in my town. The international root group where you can find a local one is www.freecycle.org. Even if it wasn't what you were thinking of, it is a great group, check it out. It is all free, and keeps still good things from the landfill. Great for families tripping over outgrown things, and for families in need to find things that are still good. Good karma all around!
Good luck,

freecycle.org

It's broken into states/towns. Members give and receive all items for free and on top of blessing the other members of your community - you keep things out of landfills.

You can be a member to as many communities as you choose and it's free membership.

Freecycle is a site where you give things away for free - it's actually a yahoo group - there are different groups for different regions. There's also a place to list free things on craigslist.
