My son is 8 years old and his communion is on Sunday, May 4, 2008. I have been looking for over a month and can not find an ALL WHITE boys communion suit anywhere. I have called JC Penny, Dillards, Sears, Burlington Coat Factory, The Men's Wearhouse, etc... If anyone has any info out there, PLEASE repspond ASAP. I am at wits end here. There are a TON of girl's communion dresses but nothing for boys. My last resort would be for my son to wear navy blue, but we are a very traditional family and prefer the his suit to be all white. Again, any leads that anyone has out there would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in Advance to all who reply.

Thanks to jennifer's referral, i found my son's communion suit at dazzle, which is located at seminole towne center mall. Not only did i find his suit there but they carried the socks and shoes to match! Again, thanks to everyone who replied and thank you, thank you, thank you jennifer for saving the day!

i know that this will prolly sounds crazy, but my daughter is due to have her baby may 11th and we were at the sanford flea market and i could have sworn that i saw some there, there are a couple of booths that have really nice communion suits and dresses. Worth a shot!

I am a Catholic woman and just a couple of years older than you....I remember all the boys wearing the solid white little suits for their First Holy Communion. However, that was in the late 70's! We attend a LARGE Catholic church in SW Orlando, and my son had his FHC last year (and we just attended our friend's son's FHC last weekend)...the boys simply aren't wearing all white anymore. I truly do not want to offend you, and I can appreciate your traditionalism, but they are wearing any color suits (black, gray, navy, khaki...) with white shirts (that are doing the symbolic representation of this beautiful event) and, about half in colored ties/half in white ties. I can understand wanting to be traditional, but, in this case, I fear, if you do find an all-white suit, he'll look like he should be walking up the aisle to the beat of "Stayin' Alive"! Another beauty of wearing a colored suit, is that he will get to wear it again too! If you are still determined to do this, I often check E-Bay for specific items I can't find anywhere else (i.e. favorite Gap silk skirt, certain pair of shoes, etc.)

Check with your parish to see if they have any recommendations. They may have a dress code for what all the kids wear to FHC.

Try a rental place for men's formals. You may have to rent it, but they may have what you are looking for. We have several in Longwood. You could also do ebay, my friend just got a full tux for her little nephew.
I run a shop where you can trade your items in for "new" ones and run across all sorts of items. I do not presently have the size you need. You are welcome to come and make friends, we treat everyone like family and would enjoy helping in any way we could.

Try calling some of the places that you rent tuxedos for weddings. I know that I got married I rented an all white suit fro our ring bearer at the Fashion Square Mall at a tusedo rental shop!
