My husband and I are celebrating our anniversary this weekend. We have never gone out for fondue before. Which one of does anyone recommend - The Melting Pot or Simply Fondue? Which one has better atmosphere and the food better?
Thanks!

Simply Fondue is by far the best! The location is further for us than Melting pot.. but the food is much better. You get a salad, then you get to pick a cheese fondue, to dip veggies & breads, the main entree, then awesome choc. choices for dessert. They have way more to choose from. & I don't think melting pot has the cheese. It's worth the trip for the spicy jack cheese alone at Simply fondue!! Good luck & congrats.

I've been to both. Melting Pot is better.

Melting Pot is a great atmosphere and a wonderful staff. It may be a bit more expensive, but they offer endless "dippers". So if you run out of items to "dip" they bring you more, even for the chocolate - and they will bring what you want to dip so you can pick and choose. It is a much classier place too.

Simply Fondue - Not a great location, there was a strung out lady between the parking lot behind the building and the front door - we had our 4 year old daughter with us so that was not so good. I would probably not go there after dark!! When we had our chocolate fondue, the dippers were very limited and if we wanted more they charged for them. You didn't get as big of a variety of dippers either. It was a bit less expensive, but not much at all.

If you want romance, go to the Melting Pot!!

Happy Anniversary!

I've only been to Melting Pot (which was excellent), but my friends all say Simply Fondue is better... price-wise and food-wise.

I've only been to the Melting Pot but we LOVE it! We get this white chocolate raspberry dessert that is absolutely delicious!! And you can also request a private table when you make your reservation. Have fun!!

Definitely Melting Pot. Great romantic atmosphere. Simply Fondue smelled like cooking oil. Our clothes smelled so badly when we left. Make reservations early for the Melting Pot. They book quickly. Show up early for a glass of wine at the bar. They have a great bar area. Melting Pot does have the cheese and it is so yummy!

I find them to be very similar in food offerings. The Melting Poy has a slightly higher end feel to it, and Simply Fondue is slightly less expensive. The Melting Pot has a much better wine list if that matters to you.

Both places have given us extra "Dippers" upon request at no additional charge.
