Fisher Price Oceans Wonder Aquarium for crib...what Do You Think?

Does anyone have one of these? Does/did you baby like it? Can you add more water to it?

I'm considering buying a used one, but it looks like the water level isn't FULL. Can we add more water to it? Will it work properly if the water isn't filled up all the way?

I'd love your reviews before buying this!

What can I do next?

My Daughter loved it!! She scared me the first few times because all of a sudden it was on. She did learn quickly to do this on her own.
She kept it for a long time after her crib.
I don't believe you can fill it up, I do however believe it's worth buying a new one if need be.

I have one and my 5 month old daughter loves watching it. I have the rainforest one though but basically the same thing.

This is one of the only baby shower gifts that is still being used, and my daughter is now 2 1/2! It has always been comforting for her to fall asleep to when a baby, it has the music and light. They make the button big enough for little hands, which is awesome. Right around 14-15 months, she started turning it on herself when she woke up in the night to soothe herself back to sleep! Nice!! Her crib converted to a day bed, so it still hangs on the crib side, where it always has been. She still loves it. Unfortunately the water level looks low in mine too, it always has. But I do think it has also evaporated a little, if that is possible because it's sealed? And no, there is no way to fill it. I would say, mine is at about 3/4 full, and it works just fine. The only negative thing, is that it does drain batteries fast if you have it on the bubble mode a lot, so now I usually keep it on just music w/ the lights. And I keep an extra set of batteries on hand, since my daughter is so used to having it to sleep, I can't imagine running out of batteries in the middle of the night! I highly recommend this toy!

YES!!! We love it!! Its ok if the water level is lower, works just fine. I credit that thing with helping my son sleep through the night. Mobiles didn't work as well because he could turn this thing on. The light and the music were very soothing.

We are still using ours at 20 months. The water is not supposed to be full so don't add to it. Plus once you open it it might start leaking because the seal is broken. Ours is about 3/4 full.

My son LOVED his! The first time I heard it start by itself, I freaked out because he was so young... it had turned off and he started it. It was as if he was using it as a reverse snooze button. :) Because his room was flooded with sunlight during the day, the water did evaporate, and I tried my best to figure out how to add water... never did figure that out.

I had one and my son LOVED it !! It was so relaxing I thought maybe I should get one for those sleepless nights :) We bought ours new and I looked at it and I do not see a way to add more water but I no longer have the instructions. Maybe the Fisher Price web site would have info on that ?

As crazy as this sounds, my kids both still have theirs and they use it every night. My son just turned 7 and my daughter just turned 9!!! It has always been comforting to them when they wake in the middle of the night. That said, I'd buy a new one. Yes, they are a little pricey, but you may have it a good long time. lol

I always had my daugther sleep in as dark a room as possible with very little to distract her... we played a CD as she was falling asleep (still do at 20 months) but that was pretty much it. She's always been a FANTASTIC sleeper (now sleeps 12 hours throught at night and usually a two to three hour nap during the day). When she was an infant and we'd visit a friend or family, both who had a child the same age, they both insisted that they turn on the light and sound machines for her to sleep, and she never slept well (their children always had - and still do - a lot of trouble sleeping, but they never tried turning off the machines). I know it wasn't just being in a new place, because once I'd insist that we turn those machines off, my daughter would sleep just like at home. Maybe they work for some kids, but in general it's best for babies to sleep with few distractions and little light.

LOVED IT!!!!! Don't think you can actually add water to it. So soothing and the bubble mode was fun. Gives off a nice glow in a darkened room.
