I am new to the area and am looking for some personal recommendation for a doula. I will have a home birth and also would like a doula with my CNM. Did anyone use one that they really liked? If so I would love some contact info!

What can I do next?

Hi,

I did not have a doula at my first labor, and for my second labor I thankfully did and it made a huge difference.

You can call Avital: ###-###-####.

She is also a Massage Therapist, and still teaches Yoga, so she can also incorporate some of these into your labor as well if you like. I had back labor and the massage/pressure on my back really helped.

Good luck!

Check out www.mamabellybirth.com. Natalie Evans was not my doula but she was our childbirth class educator and she was great. I'm pretty sure she has experience with home and water births.

Congrats and good luck.

I used Natasha Gittings for my son's birth. I thought she was great. She used to work with Birthways but is now an independent doula. Let me know if you want her phone number.
