First Time Mom-To-Be Needs Pediatrician

I have no friends who live on the south side of Lakeland that are parents. I need recomendations for pediatricians on the south side. If anyone knows of any fabulous doctors, or has any complaints about one, please, PLEASE, please let me know! I have been referred to Dr Eanett at Watson Clinic South by one of my husbands friends. Any other good ones??

What can I do next?

We use Dr. Cynthia Enlow at Clark and Daughtery on the southside across from K-Mart (or I guess that's Sears Home now.) She is really great! My daughter thinks she looks like Cinderella! That aside, she really is a good pediatrician.

We moved over to South Lakeland about 2 years ago and Dr. Hutto at Watson Clinic South came very highly recommended to us. She is great, we love her! I think she only works mornings one week and then afternoon's the next week. She has a 3 year old daughter and I love that because my daughter is 2 and she has gone through mosy of the same stuff recently. The only other thing I can say is 2 weeks ago I had to take my sick daughter in and Hutto was on vacation so I saw Dr. Haskins and did not like him at all! He's alot older and seems grumpy. I talked to some of the other mom's around and got the same impression from them too. Interviewing is a great way to decide on a ped that you like. Good luck with everything!

We LOVE Cynthia Hutto at the South Watson Clinic! She doesn't work full time but I don't normally have too much trouble getting in to see her. Good luck!
Oh - Dr. Eanett is good too. I just wanted someone who would be with my boys until they are grown. Eanett was my hubby's doctor many moons ago.

there are some great doctors in Lakeland. You need to call thier offices and interview them. First time parents should get a feel for the doctor before delivery. If the doctor doesn't see perents to be, then shop around. You probably dont't want that guy anyways, would he do the same with your kids?? Good luck.....we use Lakeside Peds. and love them.

Dr. Eanett is the best. I ask a million questions. He explains everything simply but is never condescending. He will take as much time as needed and never makes me feel rushed. The staff are heaven sent. You must make your first appointment with him prior to leaving the hospital to become a patient.

Good Luck!

I made the mistake of just assuming I'd like the ped who is in the same clinic as my OB. I never had time to interview different peds and just settled. Well, we hated the ped and ended up switching right when my son came home from the hospital. I HIGHLY recommend interviewing peds to find the one that you would trust with your child's life.

I can't recommend any South Lakeland peds but if you ever move to Winter Haven look up Dr. Whitworth at Kinder Clinic!! :)

We use Hutto too. She is great, takes her time with the kids, answers all my questions, and remembers little things about the kids!

I live right near the Watson Clinic South office and have heard great things about DR. Eanett, we use the new lady Dr... can't think of her name as she just started, she replaced our other DR, she's the only woman. She is awesome with the kids and I absolutely love the office...I would go with either of those 2 DR.s!!!
