Finding an Obgyn That Accepts Medicaid

I am a student in new orleans but I am from texas. I have to return to school next week and I just found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago. My problem is, I don't have health insurance and so far I haven't had any luck finding a doctor in new orleans that accepts medicaid. I really need to find a GOOD doctor that accepts medicaid and fast so if anyone can and will help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

What can I do next?

Dr Michael Graham in Metairie..he is next to Lakeside hospital and you deliver at Lakeside as well. He delivered my 7 year old and my 9 month old. He is also taking care of 2 of my sisters in law that are pregnate right now and we are all Medicade patients. It is worth the drive and very quick and easy to get to. Right off the Clearview exit. The office number is...###-###-####. His staff and office are the best around...go for a consult..you will see. All the best in the world to you.

Hi C.-

I know locally that there are plenty of dr's that take Medicaid. Your problem is probably more in the form of finding a doctor who takes caid and is presently taking new patients. Because of our local situation we have lost several doctors and the doctors here are now overwhelmed. Try calling a referral service at any of the local hospitals. Explain your situation and they can locate doctors for you that are accepting patients and caid.

Hi C.,
