Finding a home/Where to Look
We are looking to buy a house. We plan to stay in the Clearwater area. I'm watching realtor.com, buyowner.com, and craigslist.com. Does anybody know of any other places that list homes for sale? Thanks.
So What Happened?™
Thanks for all the help. We found a house in the newspaper.

I would like to recommend my friend, a realtor, who is wonderful.
Her name is Loretta Buckner, and you may reach her at:
###-###-####. She gives great personal service, and will work
diligently with you. I believe she is the best! If you give
her a call please say that K. Harrington referred you to her.
She is a great professional and good friend.
Good luck!

L.,
What areas are you looking in? I am a realtor & can set you up with a listingbook account. It is much more powerful than anything the average consumer can find.
Just send me your criteria (areas, bedrooms, baths, price range, and home or condo) and email address & I'll set you up. You'll love it :) L.

Hi L.,
My husband is an agent and he works with many for sale by owners. He recommended going to www.owners.com for a good selection in the clearwater/dunedin/largo area. Good luck!

L.,
Hello! I am selling my home (which is absolutely wonderful...but unfortunately for personal/relationship reasons we cannot stay). It is in Tampa, but right near the airport and the Causeway; which makes it very convenient to both Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties. I don't have the MLS ID # right with me at work, but if you're interested, I can send it to you.
You can also view the listing at www.majestichomerealty.com. Our address is 6123 Lanshire Drive, Tampa, FL 33634.
Let me know if you'd like further info! ;)
Thanks...

Hello L., Just driving around areas you like during the day and night you can get an idea what is going on and where the house is located etc. As of right now, it's a buyer's market so by saving a lot of money you don't need an agent and you can ask a seller for cash ($10,000)at the closing. However educate yourself about the proper steps; inspections, contract, closing, community restrictions etc. Pay attention and ask a lot about the neighbor's house. Are they owned or rented? - Very important! Happy Shopping!

I love looking at houses and the one website while it may not have every realtor represented is www.floridamoves.com, it does have a lot of photos and a lot of info on the houses. Another site is fl.living.net (no www). Good luck!

Hi! I live in Tampa so I am not sure if what I have to share applies to Clearwater as well. We have several free publications that list homes for sale; for example one is called Harmon Homes. You can usually find them at the library or near the check out stand at the supermarket. Good luck!
