Ok well we went to the dr yesterday and he finally put me on clomid to help with me getting pregnant. He said that most ppl get pregnant within 3 to 4 cycles on it and that my chances of having twins is only 3 to 4%. My question is how long did it take for yall to become pregnant on clomid? Was it a single birth or multiple birth? Thanks in advance for any help. Yes I am seeing my regular ob/gyn. He said that if in about 4 cycles I wasn't pregnant then he would go ahead and send me to a RE. I also asked him if he could tell with my bloodwork whether i was ovulating or not and he said he didn't know. He wants me to get an OPK this time around to be for sure. The bloodowork he did last time was LH, FSH,and thyroid. He said my thyroid is fine my LH was 6.1 and my FSH was 23.8 so that meant i had PCO.

What can I do next?

I was on clomid years ago - I became pregnant quickly (took only 1 or 2 cycles) and had a healthy baby boy (just one!) 9 months later....good luck!

I took clomid for a few cycles through my ob/gyn. Nothing happened. We had my husband tested and discovered we were both having issues. Went to a RE and had all the work done. Basically, we both had road blocks and started on a fertility path. We ended up doing insemination and it worked the first time, single birth healthy baby girl (whom will be 5 in Jan). Try the clomid, but if it doesn't work, see a fertility specilist. Best of luck to you.

Well, my husband's best friends from college used clomid for only a couple months and ended up pregnant with triplets!! I think the mom wasn't ovulating before but not positive. She delivered at 26 weeks, they never really knew why, though someone on here suggests clomid causes instabillity in the uterus?? Anyway, was a major crisis and lots of drama and medical help later, the kids are 8 and doing really good considering how early they came. But they've always joked about clomid ever since.....

Twins run in my family, so my OB gave me only 1/2 a dose and I got pregnant on the second month. My progesterone was very low so he immediately put me on progesterone when I got pregnant to help me not miscarry. It worked and we have a beautiful baby girl!

It sounds like you are in the care of an OB/GYN but who you should be seeing is a Reproductive Endocrinologist. Clomid can be a little tricky and you should be seeing someone who specializes. Maybe you are but your post does not read like that. I got pregnant with Clomid the first time and it was ectopic, the second pregnancy was chemical. The third was from injections and that worked, Lucas is 6 now. Although Clomid stimulates the ovaries and produces more follicles it tends to cause instability in the uterus. Please go see an RE have them do a full work up and monitor you properly.

I recommend the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Wechsler. It will help you track your fertility signs so that you will know if/when you are ovulating & when is best in your cycle to take Clomid. It has helped me and a lot of my friends to get pregnant fairly quickly! Wishing you much success!! :o)
