Fertility Treatment

My Dr. put me on the fertility pill " Clomid " to help me get pregnant. Are there any MOM's who have success stories about using this treatment ? I want to stay positive but It's gonna be a long road I think.

What can I do next?

My sister used Clomid with her last 2 pregnancies (she has 4 kids). She's had great success both times and it wasn't a terrible process. Good luck!

I did one cycle of Clomid and got pregnant. My sisters each had to do 4 cycles (family history of fertility problems). We just followed in the instructions. It gets a little mechinical, but it worked for us.
Just don't overthink things and relax. I think that was the key for me. They told me it would take 3-4 cycles, so I just assumed it wouldn't work the first time around and didn't stress to much.
Good luck....I know that it isn't easy.

I took Clomid for 3 cycles, with no luck. I had an ink test done on my falopian tubes and found out that one of them was blocked. The ink test cleared out my good tube, and 3 weeks later, I was pregnant. Don't lose hope. I had given up trying after a year and a half, and then, bam! I was prego! I agree with the "try no to stress" thing. I know it's hard, and sounds impossible, but it can be done. Just try to make this a fun experience, and don't overwhelm your hubby. We ran into lots of trouble in our relationship b/c of all the stress that I was putting on us. Just try to relax and let your body do it's thing. Good luck!

Got preg with triplets my first month on Clomid!!!

M. I am also on Clomid, in fact I start my 4th round today. I'm also a member of a on-line group ____@____.com It is a wonderful support system. They are Women that are on Clomid and have been on Clomid with great success stories! You should go on-line and check it out. It really helped me. If you have any questions don't hesitate to email me. Good Luck! S.

M., I took Clomid for 4 cycles and am now 8 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I would say to give it a try. I almost lost hope after 3 cycles of - pregnancy tests, but I decided to try it again and much to my suprise I was pregnant!! Good luck to you hun!

I did one round of Clomid, charted BBT and used a fertility moniter (Clearblue easy digital monitor) and I know have a beautiful 9 month old daughter. I tried the Clomid after a year and half of not conceiving, exteremly irregular periods and a history of PCOS. Good luck and I hope you have the same luck I did.

I was 35 when i got prego. Once my cycle was normal I took clomid 3 times, did hcg shot twice and on the 3rd time i also did an IUI and got prego. I have heard different stories that some DRs say you should only take clomid 5-6 times while I have had friends take it as many as 9. The only time i felt i had a side effect was when i first took clomid, I felt light headed but that was it. I now have a beautiful 8 mo. son. My advise though would be to still go about your daily plans and vacations, don't cancel things assuming you might be prego because it could take a few months and then you have missed out on fun with friends.I stayed positive by knowing that God had a plan for me and even though I did not know when or IF i would get prego, i kept trying.
