Fertility Question Can Anyone Help
i am a 30 yr old mother of 3 1 boy and 2 girls 10 9 and 6 and me and my husband are planning on getting my tubes reversed to make this happen..the question is after my third i chose to get my tubes fixed the doctor didn't ask how i wanted it done so he cut tied and burnt the ends..can they still be reversed after that..and i was also told that even though they was cut tied and burnt that there is a chance that they can fail and you can still get pregnant is this true..and my last question is when i had my youngest daughter there was complications and i had to have an emergency c section and when they was getting her out they found out my uterus had a little tear and we want to know if it is safe to carry another baby thanks for any advice you can give us.

Hey S.,, i dont know if they can reverse it but i do know that sometimes you can still get pregnant.. my aunt had her last child 3 years ago.. she got her tubes cut tied and burnt.. she now has an 8 month old baby girl.. the scar tissue formed a tube and low and behold she got pregnant... so it is possible....lol Good Luck!

A question I can answer. I had a daughter 18 yrs ago. I had my tubes done, cut, tied, burnt. Then 14 yrs ago, I wanted another baby. I had them reversed. They untie them, cut where it is burnt and put a piece of tubing in. They sew it in place. It is a major operation b/c they have to cut from your belly button down. I had it done in 92 and was on birth control until I wanted a baby. Doctors told me there was a 90% chance of getting pregnant again. In 93, i met a man and we decided to have a baby. YES, we had one. She was born in Dec. of 94 and was a healthy baby. No problems. I wish you luck. As for the tear in your uterus, it might have healed by now and I would discuss that with a doctor. They should be able to do an ultra sound to see. Good Luck. HOpe all works out for you.

HI S.,
I ALSO HEARD THAT HEALTH INSURANCE WON'T PAY FOR THE YOU TO HAVE THEM REVERSE, I KNEW A GIRL WHO WANTED HER TUBES REVERSE,
ABOUT 16YRS AGO AND IT WAS GOING TO COST AT LEAST $15,000.00 TO HAVE IT DONE, SO BEFORE U GET TO INVLOVED I WOULD FIND OUT IF YR HEALTH INSURANCE WILL PAY FOR THIS PROCEDURE.
