Fertility - Denver,CO

Hello! My boyfriend and I have been trying to get pregnant with #2 and it is just not working. First, I stopped having periods... tests kept saying no... I was SURE I was... went to the doctor... turned out I had severe endometriosis and a cyst the size of a grapefruit. Eventually had surgery to have the cyst removed and the endo lasered. Now suppoesdly I am just fine, and it still isn't happening. I know it is partly due to me worrying so much, so please do not tell me to stop that- I KNOW :-) I can't help it. Beyond that- any advice? Also, bf is taking NO2 and glutamine for workouts and muscle regeneration- could that have anything to do with it??? Thanks so much for any advice ladies!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

I will get back to all those of you who gave positive advice personally. As for the personal attack on me and the way I choose to live my life... I really don't need it. I am against marriage- I don't believe in it. Otherwise he would have married me in a second. I am sorry to see there are still people out there that are so close minded though... I could never have found a more devoted and faithful man... married or not.

Hi,
It can be so stressful trying to get pregnant. How long have you been trying? Have you tried charting your temperature? It can really help to check your hormones and to see you where you are ovulating. Have you tried acupuncture? I am an acupuncturist. I work a lot with fertility patients and coincidentally I just had a fertility patient come in and tell me she is pregnant! It was very exciting. We only worked through 2 cycles and she was very worried she couldn't get pregnant. Aupuncture has been shown to greatly increase pregnancy rates in fertility patients. I have included a link to an article you can read about it.

If you would like to try it feel free to call anytime or to ask questions about it.
In good health,

T.,
I am a WAPF chapter leader in Denver (www.nourishingconnections.org). There are lots of young women (and men) in your position, who have been helped by diet.
Though every body is different, you may find something in these articles that strikes a chord:

Answer: Is it good for estrogen levels in girls to drop? Girls need estrogen for the full expression of female traits at puberty and for fertility. When estrogen drops too low, young women stop menstruating. Young girls need plenty of good fats for growth, energy and hormone production.

Hi T.!

I would recommend the book, "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". You might also consider supplementation to help your body work through any issues and prepare for pregnancy. If you would like suggestions for supplements, please let me know, I would to help!
Good Luck!

We tried to get pregnant for exactly a year. Right before I got pregnant I decided to quit my job. I, of course, got pregnant two weeks later!!!! I hadn't realized how stressed out I was at my job, so that is really my only suggestion. I don't think the worrying about it will affect it as much as the stress in your life. We also had my husband switch to boxers from briefs. This was one of the suggestions that was given to us, we did both of these things and got pregnant. Worth a try. Not sure about what he is taking, could you ask a personal trainer, doctor or nutritionist? Best wishes!

Sounds like your hormones are off. There is a new book that is helpful: Dr. John Lee's Hormone Balance Made Simple. Your period stopping, endometriosis, cysts, infertility are all signs of imbalance. Many women have had great results with using Arbonne's Prolief Natural Balancing Cream. Have you heard of it? I would be glad to get you information and teach you how you can get it at cost.

Hi T.,
My name is L. and I have a 14 month old son Asher.
I am not sure if you are open to holistic medicine, but accupuncture can be of great assistance in getting pregnant.
I had endometriosis and had my right ovary removed.
I had weekly accupuncture for a year and got pregnant on the second try. I have several other friends who used it as well. If you are interested I know accupunctuirst in Boulder and they could recommend people in other locations. You could also probably find articles online about accupuncture and fertility.
Let me know if you would like some names.
My e-mail is ____@____.com
Good luck
L.
