Cel, you mean for breastfeeding right? You don't specify. It's safe and has been used for thousands of years to increase breast milk. But with any supplements check with your doctor! Do a google search on FENUGREEK. You will literally get hundreds of hits.

I tried the pills, didn't do a thing for me. The lactation consultant at the hospital even told me that i could double up on the pills to see if they would work (you should know within 3-5 days) If the milk prodution does not increase it's most likely not going to work for you. They do have a "mothers milk" tea, but I was never able to find it in any of the stores. Good luck, it's worth a shot and I have been told very safe by lactation consultants..

I take it, and it does increase my milk production. To be sure, I did ask my baby's pediatrician if it is safe, and she said that it is. I take it in tincture form...drops under the tongue. I've also heard of "More Milk Plus" which also comes in a dropper-type bottle. I believe it's a combination of Fenugreek, Blessed Thistle and perhaps something else. You can find the exact ingredients of More Milk Plus if you do a search for it online. But for me, taking just the Fenugreek alone works.

It didnt work for me, I took it for 3 weeks after I had my baby, and my milk never came down.

But I have heard it works great, I was just in the small percentile of people it does not work for. It was recomended by my OBGYN.

Good luck.

I took Fenugreek and then both Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle for months when I was trying to keep my milk production up to hit the 12 month mark that I had set for myself. I lasted 15 months (yeah me) and I was so tired by the end of that. I had actually ended up taking a prescription that the doctor gave me which helped a lot but made me more tired than I was before.

I would go ahead and try the Fenugreek if I were you. It won't hurt.

Fenugreek is safe, but I've never heard it being used for fatigue? Is that what you're taking it for? I used fenugreek to help my milk production when breastfeeding.
