Feeling a Little Lost

Where can I take my 3 year old to play with other children her age?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

I just want to say thank you to eveyone who has been kind enough to offer a little insight. You all have been so completely helpful in finding ideas and places to take, as well as for myself. Much appreciated.

I understand completely!

I live here in Huntsville and I grew up here... there's actually a lot to do here, but I don't really know any other moms... none like me, anyway. I'm 27 and I have a nearly 10 month old daughter (who stays at home with me most of the time, unless she's at grammy & grandpa's). I want to socialize her, but I don't have any friends with children who are stay at home moms with college ambitions like me.

Though there's a bit of an age gap in our children, they may still enjoy each other's company, so if you'd like a playdate, I think Annalise would love it -- she loves other children.

We have a family membership to the Botanical Gardens here in Huntsville, and it's been absolutely wonderful for us. They have a stroller club and children's activities, so if you like getting out and about in a natural envoronment and want to meet people, definitely give it a look. If you'd like someone to go with you, I'd be game!

I felt the same way when I moved here a little over a year ago. If you're a stay-at-home mom, you might want to check into a Mom's Club; they're great! You get together with other mom's, and your child gets to interact with other children. Also, be sure to check out Dublin park; there's almost always a lot of children there.
