A baby of that age who's diet is just milk will feed quite often , I know breast fed babies feed more often. As a mom of formula fed babies , at 2 months they were being fed every 3-4 hrs and taking about 4 or 5 ounces.

As much as your baby wants when your baby wants it. You really can't put an average number on something like that. If your baby nurses every two hours, then that's fine. If your baby only nurses every four hours, that's fine, too. It's really up to your baby. He knows when he's hungry. Just go by what he wants.

This should help you (parenting site from the American Academy of Pediatrics):

Your pediatrician should also be able to guide you as it's harder to assess the volume of a nursed child vs. one who is bottle fed.

You can Google this, but I think my 2 1/2 month old is eating about 5-6 ounces. I mostly breastfeed, but he clusters his feedings, so I often run out of milk and have to supplement with a 2 oz bottle.

Granted, my boys have HUGE appetites, so your baby will probably eat less. But my husband said our son drank a 7 oz. bottle when I was at a meeting last night. Adjusting for his huge appetite, I'd say 4-5 ounces for most babies.

If you are asking about timing, then about every 2.5 to 3.5 hours for breastfeeding, and as much as they want. For bottles, I was using about 4 oz of breastmilk at about the same intervals. The pediatrician should have a guide for "supposed to", but keep in mind that there are lots of growth spurts going on at this time, and the baby may be hungrier at some times, and not at others.

Sorry, I don't have any information for formula.

You should feed your baby whenever he/she is hungry. There is no "should" when it comes to how much babies eat.

If breastfed, feed on demand (whenever baby cries) at least every 3-4 hours. But is is not unusual to go through growth spurts with hourly feedings.

As much as she wants.

If she's breastfeeding, she needs to eat every single time she indicates any desire, even if it's 12 minutes after the last time.

If she's bottlefeeding, there is just one caveat (and otherwise the information is the same): bottles cannot be upended into the child's face because this leads to tremendous overfeeding. When a child is in a position of 'swallow or drown' babies end up swallowing a lot more food than they are hungry for. Bottles need to be held at a very shallow angle to make it so that the baby has to draw the milk out, and can pause between swallows, rest, hang out and drink more if they're still hungry. It takes more time, which is unusual because so much of caring for children conveniently fits into commercial breaks ; P

As much as he wants? Mine usually did 4 oz every 2-4 hours, but I know babies who do 6 every 2 hours.

Feed, burp, feed burp until they don't want it anymore or fall asleep is what i have done.

My first baby- Long and lean-10 lb girl, ate 4 oz every 2 to 2.5 hours. I tried to stretch it to only feeding every 3 hours- like the doc told me- no way- she was hungry and she wanted to eat!

My last baby- a 8 lb girl, much more muscular, ate 6 ounces every 2-3 hours.
So every baby is different. But I believe you should always feed on demand. I don't believe in withholding food from an infant. Hogwash.

Bables will typically cry for #1......food,.....#2, sleep. If you find the child is crying about 20 minutes to a half hour after feeding...she is telling you she NEEDS sleep.

Somewhere between 19 and 30 ounces a day of breastmilk. This will be consistent until he/she is approximately 6 months old. Some babies eat on the high end, some on the low end. Mine always ate the minimum - and, of course, some babies make their own rules. The following link will tell you what I just told you in much more detail:

http://www.kellymom.com/bf/pumping/milkcalc.html

More important than numbers, however, is to follow your babies cues for hunger. As a side note, the amount that they eat from the bottle can also be misleading. I noticed that when my baby was younger, he would readily eat more breastmilk out of a bottle than from my breast.
