I'm wondering what some of your favorite magazines for pregnancy and/or parenting (babies) are? What about web sites? What did you particularly enjoy reading or find helpful when you were first pregnant or had your baby?

Thank you!

All of the pregnancy mags were about the same, and very expensive, I remember. I still read a lot of them, though, and didn't really think one was better than the other. I did enjoy reading about my pregnancy on www.babycenter.com, and they did the weekly update thing, too, which I really liked. I also bought the book "Baby 411", and it has awesome information that I refer to even now. I am now the proud mommy of 13 mo. old b/g twins, and I have really enjoyed reading Parents magazine. Lots of good information!
Congratulations and good luck!

I am not much into the clutter that magazines cause around my home - so I love using the web. My favorite website that I have used religiously since being pregnant with my four year old daughter is www.babycenter.com. They have tips, advice, articles, quick look up, suggestions ... It's the first place I look when I wonder about something that's going on with my child (after I call my mom :)).

Hi S.,
When I was pregnant, I liked ePregnacy magazine. It talked alot about what to expect, various tests, fashion and healthy diets/living. After I had my children, I read Parenting magazine. Because it offered information on child development by ages ( I have a 1 1/2 and a 3 year old). However after about a 2 years of having the subscription, I notice that the story themes and topics tend to repeat themselves. Now I subscripe to Redbook, which offers information on taking care of family, home and Mommy!

Good Luck
D.

Hi S.,

The magazines I read are American Baby(which you can pick up FREE at Babies R Us) and Parents which I really like cause they write article about what should be happening during the stages from pregnancy until age 12.
The websites I like are babycemter.com,
gerber.com for the coupons and pampers.com cause they offer pamper rewards and since I still have two left(one of them being potty trained) in diapers it great rewards. You save your points on the compture and when you get enough points you can choose from the catalog. You just have to pay for shipping and handling.

Hopefully this is good info for you,
E.

I didn't have energy to look for magazines while pregnant, but I signed up for the weekly stuff from babycenter.com and LOVED it.

Now that I'm mom, I like "Parenting," have tried several times to subscribe to "Cookie," (but it never comes!) and also have considered "Brain, Child" for those days when you need to think like an adult again for a few minutes. :-)

It isn't a magazine, but there are 2 books I strongly suggest reading. One is "what to expect when you are exspecting" and then a really good book for right after your baby is born is "babywise" HTH

S.,
Congrats on the arrival of your bundle of joy! I'm found "The Baby Whisperer, The Girflfriends Guide to Pregnancy and Surviving the First Year," extremely helpful. For magazines I like Mom and Baby and Parents.
